Leicester are set to step up their offer to sign Jack Harrison as Brendan Rodgers looks for more attacking options before the transfer window closes.

Inquiries have already been made by the Foxes for the Leeds winger, who so far appears undecided on whether to move to the King Power Stadium and join another club in a relegation battle.

Harrison has 18 months left on his contract and was thought to be open to signing a new one.

Yet sports mail understands that Leeds will listen to offers for the 26-year-old, who moved to Elland Road on a permanent deal in 2021 after successful loan spells from Manchester City.

Leicester have already signed a full-back, Brazilian Tete, who will stay at the club until the end of the season, after cutting short his loan spell at Lyon from Shakhtar Donetsk.

But with Ayoze Pérez courted by Real Betis and Villarreal, they are eager to add another.

Brendan Rodgers is interested in the midfielder and Leicester are ready to step up the chase.

The Foxes have already signed left-back Victor Kristiansen from Copenhagen and are going ahead with the signing of Stoke centre-back Harry Souttar, worth around £15m.

Meanwhile, the club is unlikely to consider offers for star man James Maddison until the summer.

This month there have been several expressions of interest in the midfielder, whose contract expires at the end of next season.

Barring a late change of heart, however, Leicester are determined to hold on to Maddison as his form is key to their chances of survival.
