LeBron James didn't mince his words about the state of the Lakers following his team's loss to the Grizzlies on Friday night.
LA lost 127-113 at home, bringing their record to a disappointing 17-19 and handing them their 10th loss in 13 games.
“We're just bad right now,” James told reporters after the game.
James finished the game with a game-high 32 points, seven assists and five rebounds, while Anthony Davis added 31 points and Austin Reaves had 19.
Jaren Jackson Jr. led Memphis with 31 points.

While the Lakers rallied to win the NBA regular season tournament last month, the team has been on a spiral since then.
And James doesn't believe the team's victory in Las Vegas necessarily means they are contenders to win the NBA championship this summer.
“But that was only two games,” James said. 'That was a small sample. Everyone gets so excited about Vegas, keep bringing up Vegas. It was two games. We took care of those things… but that was really only two games.”
Meanwhile, Lakers coach Darvin Ham was also frustrated after the loss to Memphis, but he emphasized that the team's opponents had too short-sighted a perspective.

“This is the NBA, man,” Ham said. 'This is a marathon. You have to look at the whole picture. I'm tired of people living and dying with every game we play. It's actually ridiculous.
“It's like, 'Come on, man. This is a marathon.' We came to a difficult route. It's the same team. We played some high-level games a while ago, and now we have to get back to that. But we must continue the fight. We cannot lose our battle.'
The Athletics previously reported that there was a 'deeper rift' between Ham and the dressing room, citing six unnamed sources.
The Lakers finished seventh in the Western Conference last season before advancing to the Western Conference Finals.
