But a new video clip may give us the best glimpse of what the long-awaited device will look like.

The video is posted on X (Twitter) by @UniverseIce, which is described by TechRadar as a ‘reliable’ tipster who leaks information about tech products.

Called the ‘Capture Button’, it allows users to activate the camera much faster than before, allowing them to capture fleeting moments.
With a single press, the Capture button takes photos and launches video clips, offering users an alternative to tapping the screen.
This is confirmed by previously leaked image renders showing the new button in the same position – on the right edge of the screen, below the existing power button.

Additionally, the new clip suggests that the rear camera lenses are positioned vertically rather than diagonally – again supporting the claims of an earlier leak.
It’s unclear why Apple would choose this vertical lens alignment, although it could have something to do with the new Vision Pro headset.
According to BGRApple wants all its iPhones to record ‘spatial video’ that can be played back on the Vision Pro, but this will require a vertical camera setup.
The Vision Pro has already been released in the US and will be released in Britain next month for the eye-watering price of £3,499.
MailOnline has contacted Apple for comment, although the tech giant does not generally comment on rumors ahead of a release.
Like last year’s iPhone 15, the iPhone 16 is expected to come in four different versions: iPhone 16 (the standard model), iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
However, it’s not certain if all four iPhone 16 models will get the Capture Button, or which model would have the case fit into the new clip.

According to MacRumoursthe screen size of the two Pro models – the two most expensive options – will increase compared to the iPhone 15 equivalents.
The screen size of the Pro model will increase from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, while the Pro Max screen size will go from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches, it reports.
While exact prices are unclear, it’s expected to outshine the iPhone 15, which starts at £799/$799 for the standard model, while the most expensive variant, the Pro Max, starts at £1,199/$1,199 and could go up to £ 1,599/$1,599. for 1TB storage.
Renders also show Apple working on the iPhone SE 4, the latest in Apple’s ‘budget’ SE smartphone line and an upgrade on the 2022 iPhone SE 3.
The release of iPhone 16 will be accompanied by another major software update, iOS 18, which will bring a slew of AI-powered features – unless you’re in the EU.
