Laura Haddock cuts a glam figure in a black satin bustier while attending a party at The Savoy

Laura Haddock turned heads while mingling with the stars at The Savoy on Wednesday night.

The actress, 37, looked effortlessly chic in a black satin bustier and a green maxi skirt with a knee-length slit while attending the party on Fairmount Hotels & Resorts’ Center Stage.

It was a rare night off parenting duties for Laura, a mother of two, who opened up about her journey to motherhood and her grief over a miscarriage in a candid interview last year.

Laura seemed to be having a good time as she posed for photos inside the fancy bar.

The Downton Abbey movie star wore her strawberry blonde locks in a low bun and accentuated her natural beauty with glamorous makeup.

Laura added a boost to her height with strappy black sandals and accessorized her evening outfit with silver earrings and a black bucket bag.

The screen star was joined by Gok Wan and HRVY to celebrate the launch of Center Stage, a new resource for emerging and established music artists, providing studio and suite time.

Late last year, Laura opened up about her difficulties becoming a mother to six-year-old son Pip and four-year-old daughter Margot.

Laura welcomed her two children with her husband, Hunger Games star Sam Claflin. The couple announced their separation in August 2019 after six years of marriage.

The actress said that she had always wanted to be a mother from a very young age, but tragically had a few miscarriages before welcoming her baby boy Pip.

Sharing her experience, Laura told You Magazine: ‘We had been trying for a while because I had a few miscarriages.

“I don’t know if I had been through anything as traumatic up until that moment. They all happened at different times. [in the pregnancy]: one was at 13 weeks, so you’ve been through sickness, exhaustion, scans; have you dreamed [your baby] and planned. It is really difficult.

Laura and Sam’s entire family grieved with them.

Strike a pose: Laura looked like she was having a blast as she posed for photos inside the fancy bar.

‘They knew as soon as I tested positive, so this was a large-scale loss; many people are interested in a pregnancy.’

She continued: ‘That was the first time I understood that life was not relentlessly joyous. It was incredibly painful, but important for me to go through.

“It was a sad moment, but it made me feel more confident that I wanted to be a mother. I am not the only person who has experienced it. There’s a relief in saying something and not feeling burdened, and this wasn’t the case.

Laura is glad the topic is becoming less taboo, with the likes of Michelle Obama, Chrissy Teigen and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex speaking out about their losses.

‘I hadn’t had any miscarriage conversations before I had mine; It didn’t seem like a real possibility until it happened. I protected myself during the pregnancies, taking each day as it came, without getting too excited.’

Only when her four-month exploration with Pip was over did she allow herself to celebrate. “I was at a job where they put me in a corset and I said to the costume designer, ‘Can you not make it too tight?’ She had a twinkle in her eye and she said, ‘Oh? Me too!” We started skipping together.

More: Laura was previously married to The Hunger Games star Sam Claflin, 36, and they share son Pip, six, and daughter Margot, four. They separated in August 2019. (Pictured in 2018)

She nicknamed her growing baby Pip after learning he was her size in an early scan. “When she was born we gave her a different name, she didn’t suit her,” she laughs. All our friends were texting us: “Has Pip arrived? How much does Pip weigh?” So a few days later we said, “Should we just give up? He’s Pip, isn’t he?”

Laura married Hunger Games star Sam, 36, in 2013, but they split six years later.

The couple first met in 2011 at an audition and claimed it was love at first sight, with the Peaky Blinders star declaring that he knew he wanted to marry the “perfect” Laura the moment he saw her.

Sam announced the split on Instagram, writing at the time: ‘Laura and I have decided to legally separate. We will carry on with nothing but love, friendship, and deep mutual respect as we continue to raise our family together.

‘We will not comment further on this. Thank you in advance for your support and for respecting our privacy at this time. The two x.

Meanwhile, Laura made headlines in July of last year when it was reported that she was dating her White Lines co-star Tom Rhys Harries, 28.

Sources claimed that the couple struck up a romance during the filming of the Netflix drama, which told a sordid tale of drugs and murder on the island of Ibiza.
