The 59-year-old Channel Seven Morning Show host shared close-up images of a black python in his backyard on Instagram last weekend.
He revealed that Sylvie, who was already 29 years old, drew his attention to the snake after spotting it near their property.
‘Sylvie: Hey Bub, you know how you always say you’re not afraid of snakes? Me: Yes. Sylvie: Can you please go to the shed and resolve that ‘situation’?’ Larry wrote.

The breakfast show host also carried a kayak paddle and a broom.
While some fans on Instagram were shocked by his encounter with the reptile, many insisted he had nothing to worry about as the species was a diamond python.
“It’s a beautiful female diamond python,” one of Larry’s followers wrote.
Another agreed, saying: ‘It’s beautiful and not dangerous, it’s just a python. You have to keep him, he’ll eat all the rodents you have.’

Someone else also told Larry that there was no need to worry: “Such a beautiful python is just looking for a warm place to nap. You have an indoor fireplace, right?
“I love the battle suit, Larry, by the way.”
The diamond python (scientific name Morelia spilota spilota) is found in coastal and adjacent areas of southeastern Australia.
The diamond python (scientific name Morelia spilota spilota) is found in coastal and adjacent areas of southeastern Australia, and is also the southernmost python in the world
The average size of the animal is 2 meters, but it has been known to reach up to 3 meters.
Like all pythons, it is non-venomous. The diamond python is an ambush predator and uses constriction to incapacitate its prey, but is generally reluctant to attack humans.
However, if harassed, the diamond python can defend itself with its bite and can leave fangs in the wound.
