Kylie Minogue reveals what she really thinks about ‘Padam Padam’ viral memes as she talks about the success of new album Tension

Kylie Minogue has revealed her love for the ‘Padam Padam’ memes on Twitter.

The legendary Australian hitmaker, 55, spoke with ET Canadawhere she praised smart fans for creating viral memes.

“Stop it, no don’t stop it,” a playful Kylie said in response to the memes.

“I don’t know if this ever happened to me. People are so funny and smart and I think it’s only just begun. So yes, I like to see them.’

Kylie also spoke about the stress she felt trying to replicate the success of her last album 2020’s Disco with the release of her new album Tension.

“I was about to say no [I didn’t feel pressure]. But I just called back to the sleepless nights. That was just my pressure. I felt no outside pressure,” she said.

“I was back in the world and I wanted to be able to deliver Tension,” she added.

It also becomes a huge hit on the charts, becoming her highest-charting single in Australia in over a decade after debuting at number 39 in its first week.

The song also races in the UK charts, reaching number 1 on the UK Big Top 40 chart, which measures radio airplay, iTunes sales and Apple Music streaming.
