Kylie Jenner is being criticized on social media for launching a swimwear collection shortly after her eponymous swimsuit line failed miserably.
When the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star announced she would be launching Khy Vacation Shop with ‘‘Butter-soft swimwear with ’90s-inspired silhouettes,’ her followers weren’t convinced it would be any different from her previous swimwear line.
The 26-year-old billionaire launched her swimwear line in 2021, prompting scathing reviews on social media about the poor quality of the garments, which were described as almost see-through.
Earlier in July, the reality star shared the news on Instagram that she would be launching a new swimwear line through her new brand, Khy, and was immediately met with widespread criticism in her responses on TikTok and YouTube.
The collection has received very mixed reviews. Some people think it is better than Kylie Swim, while others wonder why she still wants to make swimsuits.

In the comments on Kylie’s Instagram page, Khy’s drop 008 was received quite negatively by her 398 million followers.
“Wasn’t her last swimsuit line terrible? Why would anyone buy her clothes?” one commentator asked.
Another person begged the mother of two: “Please, not that girl in the swimsuits again.”
“I think the internet is still traumatized by Kylie Swim,” one person recalled.
“So you had some of Kylie’s swimwear left over or something?” one commenter asked.
Several people pointed out that the swimwear is only flattering for people with Kardashian bodies, with one writing: ‘This looks so cheap and flat on a normal body (like mine)’.
Many people wondered how this would be any different from the failed swim line, with one person asking: ‘I don’t see how this would be any different from Kylie Swim since she still hasn’t addressed it… different manufacturer? Different materials?’
Swimwear designer Jessica Andersen30, shared a TikTok trying on the collection, calling it a “swim fail” that “only gets worse” after Kylie Swim.

Jessica, who lives in Austin, Texas, tried on the suit and joked that her entire body would be visible and the bottom would look like a baggy diaper.
Jessica then tried on the tankini corset, which she found difficult to put on. She said she thought they had used Kylie’s waist measurement as a model and that they even needed someone to help her put it on.
The swimwear designer summed it up this way: “You failed again, Kylie.”
YouTube creator Mia Maples, 25, shared her thoughts by sharing a nearly 20-minute video honest review of Kylie’s swimsuits, telling her 4.4 million subscribers: ‘Kylie Jenner has decided to get back into swimsuits after the incredible flop of Kylie Swim.’
Mia, who lives just outside Edmonton, Canada, has previously reviewed Khy’s three other collections.
“They’re really not that innovative,” said Mia, who called the swimsuits “pretty basic” and explained that most of the items aren’t sold out yet.
Mia pointed out that the new swimsuits were lined, the stitching was better, and the crotch was larger, but she preferred the tops to have a layer of padding and she looked for bandeaus that didn’t pinch.
She complimented the “buttery soft” material, but said the top rode up because she had no “boobs.”
Mia said she could see herself wearing these swimsuits, unlike Kylie Swim, which she previously criticized and saved for comparison.

The San Antonio, Texas, resident tried on the corset swimsuit and said the brand will no longer carry it with her after she was honest about inconsistent sizing and fitting in the past.
Stella said she was glad she bought a size up and compared it to Kylie Swim, which didn’t have plus sizes but did feature plus-size models on its website.
“I don’t want to be too nitpicky,” she said, before showing off the frayed edges of her corset. Ultimately, she thought it looked good, despite the miniskirt exposing her bottom.
Stella and Jessica were not the only two women who objected to the swimming corset.
On TikTok, Lea Rodriguez shared a video and wrote, “I should have known better,” showing a video of her corset already starting to fray.
“Thanks Kylie Jenner for round 2 of these crappy swimwear,” she wrote, showing the plastic boning that had already come out of the unworn corset.
