Kyle Sandilands wedding guest hints at the real reason Albo didn’t DJ at the radio star’s reception

Kyle Sandilands has revealed why, despite the Leader’s promise, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was not DJing at his wedding.

The KIIS FM radio host, 51, explained on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Friday morning that he had previously asked Mr Albanese to spin the turntables at the wedding reception but later told him not to worry and instead just as a guest to be present .

Fellow wedding guest Beau Ryan recalled how he managed to have a “long talk” with Albo and suggested that the Prime Minister was clearly having a good time at the event.

The ex-NRL player joked that the veteran politician, 60, was a ‘little pissed off’.

“He has a few early, right? He drinks a few beers early,’ Beau explained.

The Prime Minister was pictured at the wedding reception with Sandilands and his new wife Tegan Kynaston, as well as Sandilands’ co-host Jackie Henderson and TV presenter Karl Stefanovic (PM with Jackie O’Henderson, Karl Stefanovic and producer Sonia Jahshan)

‘He enjoyed it, that was good. Like he didn’t go through. But he was in the zone. He was good.’

Speaking to French DJ David Guetta, Sandilands said he should have bought the Baby Don’t Hurt Me mixer to provide the music for the night.

“I asked our Prime Minister to DJ and he came to the wedding… our Prime Minister came to the wedding. I told him, ‘Don’t worry about DJing. Leave it to the wedding DJ,’” Sandilands explained.

“But you would have been great,” he later told Guetta, who congratulated the newlywed.

Beau Ryan told Kyle and Jackie O that Anthony Albanese was a little “pissy” at the wedding (Pictured: Mr. Albanese beamed from ear to ear while holding baby Otto at Kyle Sandilands and Tegan Kynaston’s wedding)

Kyle Sandilands and Tegan Kynaston wed on Saturday in a highly anticipated wedding reportedly costing more than $1 million and taking place at the lavish Swifts mansion in Sydney’s Darling Point

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for comment.

Sandilands tied the knot with wife Tegan Kynaston last weekend in a $1 million ceremony at the landmark Swifts mansion in Sydney’s Darling Point.

The morning of his wedding, the radio shock jock fired back at critics who said the Prime Minister should not attend after it was rumored that he would be spinning.

“These are my friends,” he told Daily Mail Australia.

Many questioned Mr Albanese’s appearance as he would mingle with guests such as Sandilands’ main groomsmen and convicted drug trafficker Simon Main.

“I’ve met a lot of people in my life who promised this and that, and then turned into complete charlatans.”

He added, “These guys are true men of their word and that’s why they are my lifelong friends.”

At a press conference last Friday, Mr Albanese confirmed he would be attending Sandilands wedding in Kynaston on Saturday, noting he was not in charge of the invite list, and went on to describe Sandilands as an Australian success story.

“A chap who was once homeless and lived on the streets of Sydney and has grown into someone who is an important public figure is part of what is an Australian success story,” he said.

Mr. Albanese has made a public commitment to DJing at the reception, declaring on Sandilands’ radio show last year: ‘That’s on!… I keep my promises.’

Deputy opposition leader Sussan Ley criticized Mr Albanese’s priorities in a statement, saying: “There is nothing wrong with going to a friend’s wedding, but it is curious that the Prime Minister thinks he has a few days before his first proper budget can take a day off.

“Australians will rightly wonder whether the Prime Minister should play cards on a million dollar wedding if people can’t afford their rent.”

Aussie celebrities who attended the wedding included NSW Prime Minister Chris Minns, Today presenter Karl Stefanovic and ‘King of the Cross’ John Ibrahim.
