Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson in talks for record-breaking $200 million radio deal after continued ratings dominance

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson are reportedly preparing to leave if they cannot strike a new lucrative deal with their bosses at the Australian Radio Network (ARN).

The radio duo have reportedly demanded a 100% increase from their current salary of $5 million per year, to a shocking $10 million per year – making it the biggest deal in Australian radio history.

Over the course of a 10-year contract, the raise would net them a total of $200 million. The Daily Telegraph on Saturday.

The record deal would continue the shock jock team until the end of 2034 and make them the highest-paid radio hosts in the country.

While other radio veterans like Ray Hadley, Amanda Keller and Carrie Bickmore make just $3.5 million a year, Kyle (52) and Jackie O (48) will call the shots.

The demands reportedly don’t stop there as the old friends look to dominate other markets beyond their mainly Sydney-based audience.

With 15 months left on their contract, the pair are said to be pushing for less censorship as they try to gain a foothold in the Melbourne market.

Daily Mail Australia contacted both ARN and Kyle’s manager, who declined to comment.

It is unclear how much truth there is to the speculation as Kyle has previously criticized both his current and former bosses at ARN and SCA (Southern Cross Austereo).

In 2022, the irate radio host unleashed an eight-minute tirade on his own KIIS FM radio station over what he perceived as a snub by the company’s PR team.

He was angry about the poor press coverage that The Kyle and Jackie O Show’s historic ratings received at the time.

‘I’m tired of working here. Everyone is a loser except everyone on this show. Everyone else outside of this show is a huge loser. “I’m not kidding,” he said.

In 2021, he slammed his former network 2DAY FM when his radio show surpassed 2GB’s Ben Fordham to become the No. 1 breakfast radio show in Sydney.

When asked by former Sunrise host David Koch if his success was the “ultimate revenge,” Kyle joked that his former bosses were so poor they couldn’t afford phones.

The record deal would continue the shock jock team until the end of 2034 and make them the highest-paid radio hosts in the country.

In March, The Kyle and Jackie O Show took its place as Sydney’s top-rated FM breakfast radio program in the first ratings survey of 2023.

The show, hosted by longtime duo Kyle and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, attracted a 15.9 percent audience share.

The KIIS FM dream team attracted a whopping 842,000 listeners and continued their reign as Australia’s most listened to radio show in history.

Kyle said on air Thursday: “We broke another record. It’s almost embarrassing. Guinness won’t even take our calls. They say, “Not another record!”

“The Kyle and Jackie O radio show has the highest market share of our entire broadcast. We overshadowed Ben Fordham, he’s dead. We have a 15.9 percent share and I can feel the blood rushing into my penis now. That’s how excited I am.’
