Kyle and Jackie O: Undercover security guard reveals supermarket’s ‘most stolen item’ – and you’ll never believe what it is
A caller to the Kyle and Jackie O Show has revealed the most stolen item in Australian supermarkets.
The woman, an undercover loss prevention officer who works for a major supermarket chain, surprised hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson with the sought-after item.
Kyle initially suspected that the most pinched product would be razor blades, given their relatively high value.
Jackie, meanwhile, predicted that tampons would be the most common target for thieves.
However, the caller surprised them both when she revealed that they were actually barbeque chickens.
“Where do they leave the chicken to steal it?” asked a perplexed Jackie.
“Two of the ones I’ve stopped[put it]in their pants,” said the undercover cop, who is responsible for stopping shoplifters.
“Holy shit, a whole chicken!” exclaimed Jackie, before Kyle asked what kind of pants the thieves were wearing to facilitate the theft.
Trackies. Yes, great trackies,’ she replied.

The revelation comes after a young Australian woman became furious about the cost of living after visiting her local supermarket and fresh food store.
Elly Vickere was annoyed after she attacked Coles and spent $45 on two boxes of tea bags, two loaves of bread, a box of chicken Kievs and two liters of lactose-free milk.
The young TikTokker also went to the greengrocer and bought a huge pile of fresh vegetables, which earned her 26 dollars.
‘Half the money I spent on those few (supermarket) items. They may not be the prettiest or most symmetrical, but it’s in your gut anyway.’
Elly always thought that if she went to the farmer’s market or the greengrocer, she would lose even more money.
“It’s insanely cheap,” she said.
And the people in the comments totally agreed.
“Personally, as a Coles employee, definitely go to the farmers’ markets because I’m really standing there looking at the whole thing like that’s ridiculous,” one said.
“I work at Coles and quite frankly I’m so embarrassed to work there as they keep raising the prices of things,” said another.
One woman said her weekly shop at Coles went from $90 to $170 a week.

Some pointed to Elly’s expensive taste.
“That tea is pricey,” said one woman.
Elly admitted that she is a “slave” to the prizes because the tea helps her fall asleep.
Others said the food from the markets has a longer shelf life.
Cole’s fruits and vegetables rot after three days; the market thing goes on all week,” one woman wrote.
Some were thrilled by her fresh catch of food.
“Bro, a watermelon would have cost $20 at Spudshed alone,” someone said.
The video quickly went viral and more than 45,000 people responded to the conversation.
