KSI’s victory over Joe Fournier has RETURNED after a post-fight investigation, with the result now a ‘no decision’…but the YouTuber was NOT disqualified as the elbow was ruled an accident
YouTuber KSI has seen his TKO victory over Joe Fournier overturned, with the result changed to a ‘no decision’ following a post-fight review.
‘The Nightmare’ appeared to have ended the highly anticipated second round match, as he knocked out Fournier cleanly with a short right hand on Saturday, May 13.
Replays showed that the knockout blow came from a forearm, but Fournier took off in a rage, before immediately filing an appeal with the Professional Boxing Association.
However, KSI won the fight comfortably before the incident, and the PBA – after their investigation – ruled that the elbow was an accident, changing the result to a ‘no decision’, rather than disqualifying him.
The result will now not be on either fighter’s record, leaving KSI undefeated.

Fournier, 40, appealed to the PBA after being elbowed out in the second round
A statement from the PBA on Friday read: “Today, May 19, 2023, Mr. Joe Fournier and KSI were notified of a ‘revised decision’ made by Mr. Gareth Morris, the umpire in charge of the match on Saturday 13 May 2023 at the OVO Arena, Wembley, London, United Kingdom.
Mr. Fournier had lodged a protest and KSI responded after KSI’s technical knockout victory in the second round of the fight.
‘After a thorough examination of the evidence and statements, together with the assistance of Mr Micky Vann (the Supervisor in charge) and an eminent Solicitor (Mr Gul Nawaz Hussain KC of 33 Bedford Row Chambers, London) where appropriate, the Mr. Morris to an independent decision.
“While KSI was winning the fight, the forearm/elbow blow has been determined to be an accident and the obvious disappointment that will follow, it has been decided that the bout will be declared a no decision in accordance with the rules.
“The PBA conducted the review properly, fairly and with legal assistance while the fight was sanctioned and regulated under boxing’s uniform rules.
“We’ve made sure this process has been swift and fair to maintain the integrity of boxing.”
The forearm was initially missed by the referees at Wembley Arena as KSI celebrated with his team in the immediate aftermath before doing push-ups in the ring.
The YouTuber then took on social media rival Tommy Fury – who defeated Jake Paul in February – with both fighters stating their intention to set up a fight before the end of the year.
