Kristin Davis has revealed filming of And Just Like That… season three is set to begin soon.
The Sex and The City spin-off – starring Davis as Charlotte York alongside Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw and Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes – will return in 2025 after WGA and SAG/AFTRA delayed work on new scripts.
Kristin shared a montage of behind-the-scenes moments from the show, writing on Instagram, “It’s almost that time again… I can’t wait to be reunited with my AJLT family.”
The show was renewed on HBO’s streaming service Max in August, just days before the highly anticipated return of Kim Cattrall’s iconic Sex and the City character Samantha Jones.
In a statement, Max’s Head of Original Content Sarah Aubrey said: “As we approach the highly anticipated season finale on Thursday, we raise our cosmos to (showrunner) Michael Patrick King and his incredible team of writers, producers, cast and crew who continue to us, 25 years later, charming with dynamic friendships and fascinating stories.’

Sara Ramirez – who played panned non-binary comedian Che Diaz – will not return to the show because their character was a ‘waste of airtime’, according to insiders
Aubrey added, “We can’t wait for audiences to see where season three will take our favorite New Yorkers.”
Showrunner Michael Patrick King said, “We’re excited to spend more time in the Sex and the City universe and tell new stories about the lives of these relatable and ambitious characters, played by these incredible actors.”
Fans of the original Sex and the City have had a love-hate relationship with the new revival, dearly missing Cattrall’s sex-positive PR guru Samantha Jones.
During her absence, a host of new characters were introduced in the form of Dr. Nya Wallace (Karen Pittman), Seema Patel (Sarita Choudhury) and Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker).
However, viewers were stunned to learn earlier this year that Cattrall, despite being extremely vocal about her desire to continue with the character Samantha, had secretly agreed to return in a surprise cameo.
“It’s very interesting to get a call from the head of HBO asking, ‘What can we do?'” Cattrall told The View in June, before adding with a cheeky smile, “And I said, “Hmmm…let me get creative.”

Ramirez, 48, a non-binary actor who uses their pronouns, suggested they will not return for the third season of the Sex and the City spinoff in a series of posts shared on Instagram in January.
They strongly implied that their time on the show was over, as they claimed that “casting directors and agents are creating blacklists of actors and workers who post in support of the Palestinians and Gaza to ensure they will not work again.”
But a source close to the show ridiculed the suggestion, claiming that Ramirez’s head “has been on the chopping block since last season” because their character “had no value anymore” and was “annoying.”
Season two saw the return of Carrie’s passive-aggressive furniture-designing ex-fiancée Aidan Shaw (John Corbett), who told her he needed a five-year break from her to focus on his troubled teenage son.
This, after Carrie sold her beloved West Village apartment to buy an expensive four-bedroom, three-bathroom property near Gramercy Park that could accommodate Aidan and his three sons when they visit from Virginia.
Season two also saw the newly sober Miranda return to work and navigate her post-breakup relationship with the dreaded Che (Ramirez) and Charlotte leave some of her household duties to return to work at a gallery.
