According to them, bargain hunters have found an affordable alternative to the classic Arizona from the expensive brand with gold buckles.
The cheaper glasses are flying off the shelves across Australia – with fans claiming they are ‘better than Birks’ – especially considering their extremely low price.
Both designs of the shoes are similar, but despite the huge price difference, there are many key features that the Kmart version does not have.
Birkenstock is widely known for its high-quality, solidly constructed and durable sandals that provide unparalleled comfort and support thanks to the contoured footbed.
The shoes are made from a mixture of natural cork, latex and real leather.
The budget-friendly slip-on slippers have an almost perfect rating: an average of 4.7 out of 5 stars.

Many claim that the sandals are surprisingly comfortable – and that they are a ‘great alternative’ for those who can’t afford the more expensive version.
‘I love this one, super comfortable, yet easy to combine with most types of clothing. They run a little small I think, so keep that in mind,” one person said.
‘Comfortable sandal and color match most outfits. Looks a lot like Birkenstock sandals,” another enthused.
‘This one looks a lot like the original Birkenstock. It is very comfortable and I wear it everywhere. It’s amazing and looks beautiful too,” someone added.
Earlier this week, Kmart shoppers discovered a $10 ‘must-have’ product ahead of the sweltering summer heat.
The portable bladeless fans ($10) are selling out nationwide as spring draws to a close.
“They will sell like hot cakes,” said one customer after purchasing the item.
