Kim Kardashian took to Instagram on Monday to share photos from last week’s Janet Jackson concert in Palm Desert, where she wore the music artist’s outfit from her 1993 If music video.
The 43-year-old billionaire engaged her 362 million followers as she posted numerous outtakes from the evening and captioned Janet’s lyrics: “this is how love goes.”
Kim was joined in some of the snapshots by younger sister Khloe Kardashian, 39, and their mother Kris Jenner, 68.
The SKIMS founder bared her toned stomach in the sexy black look, which consisted of a shrunken cropped cardigan and matching fringed suede trousers.
It comes after critics online condemned the mother-of-four for the extravagant purchase, which cost her $25,000 at auction in 2021.

When they revealed she attended Jackson’s concert in the archive look, social media users flocked to X to condemn her choice.
“Buying historical pieces just for kicks, UGH!” one complained while another said the bomb made them “cringe.”
Another asked: ‘Why the hell does she have a lot of Jackson’s clothes? Why her??’
There was also one disgruntled user who asked if the mogul wanted to damage the garments as if she was “ruining Marilyn Monroe’s dress” at the 2022 Met Gala (the owner of the dress said in a statement that the reality star “in no way damaged the dress of Marilyn Monroe’.
Despite angry reactions from Janet Jackson fans, the living legend gave Kim her blessing when she scored the unique outfit.
In May 2021, Kim uploaded a photo of Janet in the If video, saying, “For @janetjackson’s birthday, I’m such a fan I can’t believe I won this outfit at @jules_auctions.”
The singer reposted it, adding, “Thank you so much @kimkardashian, I hope ‘IF’ brings you as much joy as it does me,” along with three kiss emojis.
Jules Auctions also shared the news of Kim’s purchase on X, which was then called Twitter.

The low-rise pants have fringes on the sides of the legs.
And the sleek, cropped vest has buttons down the front, along with thin, white shells sewn on either side.
Kim found the perfect complementary choker with matching shells to wear during the show.
