Kim Kardashian posts throwback gag video that includes apparent dig at Taylor Swift during THAT feud

Kim Kardashian posted a throwback gag video to Instagram this week — one featuring an apparent dig at Taylor Swift.

During her marriage to her third husband Kanye West, 42-year-old Kim got caught up in his long-running feud with 33-year-old Taylor.

This Friday, the reality star posted a series of old clips to Instagram to wish her family friend Harry Hudson a happy 30th birthday.

The montage was a series of Snapchat videos that formed a comedic sketch about Kim walking around her star-studded entourage.

At one point, she asks one of her team members to play some music – and then comes Kanye’s song Famous, which was notoriously scathing about Taylor and caused the controversy that brought Kim into their feud.

Kim had assembled a glittering cast for the prank video, including her then-husband Kanye West and fashion designer Virgil Abloh.

The sketch also involved several members of her personal circle, including her then assistant Stephanie Shepherd.

Famous came out in 2016 and Stephanie left Kim’s employment the following year, so the video is presumably made in the intervening time.

In any case, Kim was clearly still with Kanye at the time, as at one point she calls herself married to ‘Pablo’, in a tip of the hat from his The Life Of Pablo album.

Famous, which was part of The Life Of Pablo’s tracklist, included Kanye’s memorable swipe at Taylor: “I made the b**** famous.”

The line was a reference to the explosive start to their feud in 2009, when Kanye took the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards and cut off Taylor’s acceptance speech to praise Beyoncé.

When Famous shut down in 2016, Taylor and her Swifties were quick to take offense, prompting Kim to take the fight.

Kim publicly denounced Taylor as a “snake” for claiming she had no idea Kanye would use the phrase, “I made that b*** famous.”

At the time, Kim leaked a video of Kanye’s phone call to Taylor in which he let her hear his lines, “I feel like me and Taylor might still be having sex.”

The video suggested that Taylor had lied about not being warned about the song, and she received massive public backlash as a result.

Her social media abuse is believed to be part of the reason Taylor subsequently took a hiatus from music.

She made her grand comeback in 2017 with her song Look What You Made Me Do, the music video of which contained several scathing references to the ‘Kimye’ feud.

At one point, Taylor pretends to shoot a gun while in a bathtub full of diamonds – at one point it was thought to be a joke about Kim’s robbery in Paris, when the reality star was thrown into the bath bound and gagged when the burglars grabbed her jewelry.

In early 2020, as COVID-19 lockdowns swept America, the feud bubbled up again when a fuller video emerged of Kanye’s phone call with Taylor about Famous.

Over the course of the video, Kanye doesn’t argue with Taylor about the “b***h” lyric or the suggestion that he “made her famous.”

Taylor’s “Swifties” seized on the video as proof that their idol was justified, and the social media buzz got so intense that Kim responded.

Kim accused Taylor of “lying” and mocked her for deciding to “revive an old discussion — which feels very selfish right now, given the suffering millions of real victims are now facing.”

She claimed: “To be clear, the only issue I’ve ever had with the situation was that Taylor lied through her publicist who stated that ‘Kanye never called to ask for permission…’ They spoke clearly so I got you guys all show No one has ever denied that the word “b****” was used without her permission.

Kim added: “At the time they spoke, the song hadn’t been fully written yet, but as everyone can see in the video, she manipulated the truth of their actual conversation into her statement when her team said she “turned off and warned him against releasing a song with such a strong misogynist message.”

She doubled: “The lie was never about the word b****, it was always about whether or not the call came and the tone of the conversation.”

The following year, Kim had filed for divorce from Kanye, following his roller coaster presidential campaign and public meltdown.

Late last year, Kanye saw his career implode after a series of anti-Semitic outbursts, including a vow to “die to JEWISH PEOPLE.”
