Kilmarnock 2-1 Celtic: Killie ends Celtic's unbeaten run in the league with Matt Kennedy's last-minute winner

  • Matt O'Riley scored the opener for his ninth league goal of the season so far
  • Matt Kennedy grabbed Kilmarnock's winner with a goal into the dying embers
  • No one cares about Forest as much as Steve Cooper, the club means so much to him. It all starts

Kilmarnock ended Celtic's unbeaten run in the league with a last-gasp Matt Kennedy winner at Rugby Park.

The result means Brendan Rodgers' side still remain top of the Scottish Premier League, with the lead over rivals Rangers currently standing at five points, but Kilmarnock moved up to fifth.

Matt O'Riley opened the scoring after Calum McGregor showed excellent footwork to force a save from Will Dennis in the Kilmarnock net.

O'Riley was there to attack the lost ball and score his ninth league goal of the season so far.

Kilmarnock pressed Celtic hard in the second half and were rewarded for their hard work when former Liverpool defender Nat Phillips turned the ball into his own net.

It took until the 87th minute for Kilmarnock to grab the winner, with Matt Kennedy squeezing the winner past Joe Hart.
