Kid Cudi cancels his upcoming world tour after breaking his foot at Coachella which will require surgery and extensive recovery: ‘There’s just no way I can bounce back in time’

Just one day after offering fans a Coachella injury update, Kid Cudi is now canceling his upcoming world tour.

The 40-year-old rapper (born Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi) announced his Insano Engage the Rage World Tour in March, which kicks off on June 28 in Austin, Texas.

However, last weekend he performed a surprise set at Coachella and managed to injure his foot after jumping off stage.

The musician shared a video update on Monday in which he revealed that he had “broken something in his heel,” which was so serious that it required surgery, forcing him to cancel the tour.

“From your friend Scott,” he captioned the post with a pleading face and heart hands emojis, adding, “with crazy love.”

The message was a photo of a longer message that began: “Guys, so I have a broken heel bone. I have to have surgery tomorrow and the recovery will take a long time.’

“We have to cancel the tour so I can focus on getting better and be in top shape to rage with all of you,” he added.

‘There’s just no way I can jump back in time and give you 100%. The injury is much more serious than I thought,” he admitted.

He added: ‘Anyone who bought tickets will receive a full refund, you will receive an email shortly.’

“We’ll be back with new tour dates as soon as possible, and I can’t wait to get back on the road with you and show you how we do it,” he continued.

Cudi added, “I’m so sorry family and I love you all so much, thank you for the endless love and support.”

‘I’m very disappointed, and I’m sure you are too, but I’ll be back. That’s a promise,” he added with a wink, double heart and heart hands emojis.

“I’m fine, just a little sore, but I’m in good spirits,” Cudi concluded the message to his 3.3 million Instagram followers and 2.5 million X/Twitter followers.

The tour, announced in March, would be supported by artists such as Pusha T, Jaden Smith and EarthGang.

The North American leg of the tour was scheduled to travel across the continent throughout the summer, ending in Los Angeles on August 30.

After taking the rest of 2024 off, he was set to hit the road again at the end of February, kicking off the European leg on February 25, 2025 in Oslo, Norway.

The tour was scheduled to end in London on March 18, 2025, although it is unclear when the new dates will be announced or how long Cudi’s recovery will take.
