Kerry Washington sent “love and prayers” to her “film huzbin” Jamie Foxx on Thursday, wishing the actor a speedy recovery after being rushed to hospital earlier this week.
Foxx, 55, suffered a “medical complication” on Tuesday and is reportedly on the mend after his family released an update via social media on Wednesday.
Washington, 46, took to Instagram herself and captioned a sweet photo of her cuddling with the Oscar winner, writing: “An appreciation post from @iamjamiefoxx. Sending you all the love and prayers my movie huzbin.’
Red hearts and prayer hand emojis filled Kerry’s post as the Emmy-winning star referenced her two roles alongside Foxx.
The pair first played husband and wife in the 2004 Ray Charles biopic, Ray, and again in 2012 when Kerry took on the role of Jamie’s enslaved wife Broomhilda in Quentin Tarantino’s epic Western, Django Unchained.

And Washington wasn’t the only Hollywood leading lady to wish Jamie well. Fellow Oscar winner Viola Davis, 57, posted a touching message of support for the Ray star on Instagram.
Captioning a photo of them together, Davis wrote, “Get well soon @iamjamiefoxx. We need you… your light, your brilliance.”
The burst of love for Foxx comes after his family released a statement characterizing the star’s mysterious health incident as a “medical complication.”
But one source described the problem TMZ in more serious terms, they called it a “medical emergency,” though they said Foxx was now “communicating” again.
In their statement, Foxx’s family also revealed that the A-lister was “on the road to recovery.”
DailyMail.com reached out to Foxx representatives, who have not yet responded.
Posted by Jamie’s daughter Corinne Foxx, 29, the family’s statement read: ‘We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, had a medical complication yesterday [Tuesday].
‘Fortunately, he is already on his way to recovery through quick action and good care. We know how loved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy at this time.”
