Kelsey Parker admitted she knew her late husband Tom ‘would send the right man for her’ – weeks before revealing new romance

Kelsey Parker had previously said she knew her late husband Tom would “send the right man for her” weeks before going public with her new romance.

On Sunday, the 33-year-old mother of two shared a snap of her new partner on Instagram, captioning it with a heart emoji.

Kelsey was widowed in March 2022 when her husband Tom Parker — best known as a member of The Wanted — died of brain cancer at the age of 33.

In November of that year, she started a relationship with electrician Sean Boggans, but they have since broken up.

In an interview with OK! Magazine in June, Kelsey said she knows Tom “will send the right man for her.”

She said, ‘If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be, and that person will be sent by Tom, I think. He’ll pick them for me.’

She detailed her thoughts on her ex Sean Boggans, whom she dated after Tom’s death, adding: “I think he sent Sean for a reason. Sean was what I needed at that moment and he was amazing.

“I will never say a bad word about him. But right now I have to concentrate on work and taking care of my children.”

This past weekend, Kelsey posted a photo on Instagram of herself snuggling up to her new partner.

She was in high spirits as the couple embraced at an outdoor location and Kelsey captioned the post with a heart emoji.

Kelsey didn’t share any specific details about her new man, but she did receive several messages of support from her famous friends.

In November 2022, eight months after Tom’s death, she began dating electrician Sean Boggans – although they have since broken up.

The two were introduced by friends at a wedding in Greenwich, London last October, but split as the first anniversary of Tom’s death approached.

‘Kelsey and Sean split around the anniversary of Tom’s death. Her head was all messed up at the time and her posture was wobbly, but Sean still fancied her and continued to pursue her,’ a source told The Sun.

On Sunday, the mother of two shared a photo of her new partner on Instagram and captioned the post with a heart emoji

“After a few weeks of talking, they got back together – she couldn’t ignore her feelings for him. It’s been really hard for them, but she wants to give it a chance.”

Sean spent time behind bars after fatally beating Shaun McDermott, 44, during a heated argument over a taxi outside the Havering Oak pub in Romford, Essex.

He was waiting for his then girlfriend to pick him up when an argument broke out with Shaun, who was knocked to the ground during the altercation. CCTV footage later captured the electrician walking away from the scene.

Shaun was found by police at around 1am, lying on the pavement with a brain haemorrhage. A post-mortem revealed he had died from head injuries, and Boggans was jailed for four years by a judge at the Old Bailey.

Despite finally being happy again, Kelsey was inundated with negative messages about how she wasn’t ‘grieving properly’, despite finding it difficult to cope.

Kelsey responded to internet trolls when she told The Daily Star: ‘When you lose someone you love dearly, it just proves you only have one life.

‘Tom would want me to be happy. You only have one life, so you have to live it. That’s what he taught us.

“If it’s back to dating…what does that have to do with anyone else? I think you should do whatever makes you happy in life.”

“There’s so much stigma about how to grieve. People think you have to wear black and a veil over your face and be a walking widow. But that’s not the case. I’m young and I have children to take care of.

‘There is no rulebook for grieving and I say to people, don’t worry about the way you grieve because there is no right or wrong way to do it.

“You can be laughing one minute and then be in deep emotion the next. There is no right or wrong way.”

Kelsey had previously said that her late husband would be “happy” if she found love again after his death.

She and Tom were together for about 13 years. They announced their engagement in 2016 and married in a romantic ceremony in Surrey in 2018.

Tom was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma in October 2020. Doctors predicted he had only 12 months to live.

In September 2021, 11 months after his diagnosis, Tom sang at the Stand Up 2 Cancer gig at the Royal Albert Hall and even went on a Greatest Hits tour with his bandmates when the tumour was confirmed to be ‘stable’ in November.

But a close family friend said today that Tom’s condition deteriorated rapidly after the tour ended and he died in March 2022.
