Kelly Clarkson QUASHES rumors her Las Vegas shows will kick off a full tour

Kelly Clarkson went makeup-less on Instagram this Friday as she slammed rumors that her Las Vegas shows would kick off a full tour.

The 41-year-old singer announced in March that she will perform 10 concerts at Planet Hollywood’s Bakkt Theater in July and August.

Fans began speculating that Sin City’s engagement could be a teaser for a longer tour Kelly would announce at a later date.

However, she activated her social media to stop the suspicion, reminding the public that she has “a nine-to-five” in the form of her daytime talk show.

In addition to her series — which production is currently on hold due to Hollywood’s writers’ strike — she noted that she’s also busy with her two young children.

Kelly shares daughter River, eight, and son Remy, seven, with ex-husband and former manager Brandon Blackstock.

“People say, ‘Are you going on tour?’ This is what it is about. That’s why I announced the 10 shows in Vegas. I wasn’t like, “Oh, it’s a secret. We’ve got a really huge tour that we’re going to do right after,” she assured fans.

“It’s really like – I don’t know if you guys noticed, but I’m like nine to five! For example, I have a job that seems like a lot of, you know, takes work and time,” Kelly said.

‘So – and I have children too! You know, they’re in school, so of course I get very tied to those things,” the mother-of-two explained.

However, she made sure to keep hope alive by letting slip that “we’re trying to figure out what the possibilities are in certain parts of our calendar.”

Returning to her original theme, she said with a laugh, “But I’m not saying, ‘Oh, there’s only 10 shows!’ and secretly we have the other one.’

Kelly doubled down, “Like, it’s really these 10 shows!” insisting she had been “very adamant to be perfectly honest when I first announced it.”

She promised an “intimate,” “cool” production with a “more rock and roll vibe, like, not as Vegas-y as everywhere else.” But it’s going to be really cool.’

Her post comes after she vowed to undergo “leadership training” following a report that her talk show had become a “toxic” work environment.

The daytime series was targeted by a Rolling stone exposé in which a current and 10 former staffers claimed that bullying was going on behind the scenes.

Kelly was called “fantastic” and multiple sources claimed she was unaware of the alleged problem, but executive producer Alex Duda was denounced as a “monster.”

When asked about the allegations, an NBCU spokesperson told DailyMail.com that the company was “committed to a safe and respectful work environment and took workplace complaints very seriously and to insinuate otherwise is untrue.”

Kelly’s show took over the time slot previously occupied by Ellen DeGeneres, whose “Queen Of Nice” reputation was shattered after similar claims exploded on her 2020 daytime schedule.

As backlash mounted following the Rolling Stone report, fans began comparing Kelly to Ellen and demanded a public response.

Kelly produced a lengthy Instagram post saying, “In my 20 years in the entertainment industry, I’ve always led with my heart and what I thought was right.”

She insisted, “I love my team on The Kelly Clarkson Show, and it is unacceptable to find someone feeling unheard and/or disrespected on this show.”

The Since U Been Gone singer added that she and the rest of the “senior staff” would receive “leadership training” to “ensure any notion of toxicity is eradicated.”

Meanwhile, an insider lifted the curtain on Kelly and Brandon’s co-parenting equation a few weeks ago, now that the dust has settled over their rancorous divorce.

Kelly and Brandon announced their divorce in 2020 and spent more than a year and a half in a legal spat over money, assets and custody of the children.

At one point, despite having primary custody, Kelly found herself short on a cumulative $200,000 a month in spousal and child support.

When they finalized the divorce, it turned out that Kelly would have to pay more than $46,601 in monthly child support on top of a one-time payment of $1,326,161.

She would also give Brandon a $50,000 “reimbursement” for private air travel for the kids, who would fly privately until they could be vaccinated against COVID-19.

The custody agreement stipulated that the children would spend one weekend each month with their father at the former couple’s ranch in Montana, where Brandon now lives.

A source reports this in a recent report Us weekly that Kelly has managed to “build a great co-parenting relationship with Brendan, but it hasn’t always been easy in terms of their personal relationship.” However, they have come a long way and are very good with their children.’
