Despite being more than two weeks away from the official start of summer, Kate Holmes has been rolling out some of her favorite warm-weather pieces and ensembles since early spring.
And over the weekend, the former Dawson’s Creek star was at it again, sporting a few more fashion-forward outfits that are not only stylish, in the casual-cool department, but also comfortable even when temperatures begin to reach scorching levels.
On Sunday, the actress stepped out onto the bustling streets of Manhattan, seemingly on an errand, in loose-fitting, breathable pants with a high-water design, given that she fell to the bottom of her calves.
Going for an all-white summer look, she also donned a matching sweater, with the sleeves rolled up a bit, which was also a loose fit, along with a white bag over her right shoulder.
In contrast, the Batman Begins actress slipped on a pair of black loafers, as well as stylish dark sunglasses.

In addition to being a fashion accessory, the goggles came in handy for blocking out some of the bright sun on a day when the temperature reached nearly 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
The previous day, on Saturday, Holmes modeled another of her casual-cool ensemble which are also equally comfortable and summer ready, consisting of beige cargo pants, a tan sweater worn over a white t-shirt and black sneakers.
In recent days, she has also been seen in a short denim skirt with a loose-fitting beige-patterned blouse and brown clogs.
Another of her stylish warm-weather outfits showed her giving more than a hint of her toned midriff in a fitted black button-up cardigan, again white low-rise pants and clogs.
She also showed her penchant for warm-weather fashion while attending the 76th Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France in May.
But even before she went abroad, Holmes seemed to get her into spring and summer fashion with her outfit choices that she wore in her personal time and for work-related outings.
The Toledo, Ohio native moved to New York City shortly after her split and eventual divorce from Tom Cruise in 2012, when their daughter Suri was about six years old.
Her decision to start over in such a huge metropolis was simple: she loved how much there was to do in the five boroughs, both day and night, for herself and Suri.

“Yes, it’s a little too exposed at times and we work hard to maneuver and navigate. But what I love about New York is that this is our atmosphere for me and my child,” she said In style in 2020.’If there are 25 things to do every night, you’re out of your own way for a while.’
At first, Holmes had to get creative to keep nosy photographers away from her little girl, which included waking up while many people, like the paparazzi, were still asleep.
‘We were followed a lot then [Suri] was little. I just wanted her outside, so I walked her around looking for parks around 6 a.m. when no one would see us,” she explained.
Known as one of those celebrities who leads a very private life, The Gift star tried to protect her daughter from the downside of fame while at the same time helping her become the woman she wanted to be.
Trendsetter: The proud mom of Suri Cruise, now 17, also rolled out other summer ensembles equally comfy for the hot months when she attended the 76th Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France in May; she is pictured in Cannes in both pictures
“My biggest goal has always been to nurture [Suri] in her individuality,” said the actress and director In style in 2020. “To make sure she is 100 percent herself and strong, confident and capable. And to know.’
Now 17, Suri has already started applying to colleges with the help of her mother, but the teen’s famous father is expected to join the search because the longtime Hollywood lead “plays no role” in his child’s life .
As she sends out application forms to schools in various parts of the country, a source close to Holmes exclusively tells DailyMail.com that Suri is “leaning toward” a fashion degree in New York City, a choice that would make her mother very happy.
Holmes filed for divorce from Cruise in June 2012 after five and a half years of marriage.
