On Monday, the 34-year-old actress posted an emotional tribute, revealing that she was at the Sundance Film Festival when she received the devastating call early last week.
She shared several old photos of herself and her father, who is believed to be in his 50s at the time of his passing, writing: ‘Rest in paradise daddy.’

“I don’t think I ever told anyone just because I don’t realize that’s not necessarily normal,” she continued. “I live my life as me, so it’s like, ‘Oh, that’s my dad.’

“I knew it from high school, even from elementary school,” he added. “I knew something was different and I don’t know how I knew what was gay, being so young.”
She said: ‘I think when you’re younger, you figure things out and you get used to it.
“I always knew that, and then as I got older, we had certain conversations with my mom, and it was exactly what it was.
“Love conquers all,” he said. ‘No matter your race, age, how you look or anything… Love is love.’
