Vice President Kamala Harris once supported a proposal in San Francisco to ban handguns, but now she’s happy to have a gun and has vowed to shoot anyone who breaks into her home.
Haris approved Proposition H of 2005, which banned San Francisco residents from owning handguns within city limits unless they were active in law enforcement or the military.
A ban was also imposed on the production, distribution, sale and transfer of firearms and ammunition within the city.
The proposal was adopted by a majority that year. 58 percent majority to support.
The measure was expected to go into effect in January 2006. Residents would have to turn in their firearms by April 1, 2006, or risk a prison sentence.

Harris revealed in 2019 that she owned a firearm, but she did not disclose the make and model.
Harris reminded voters during the presidential debate with former President Donald Trump that she was a gun owner and promised she would not take anyone’s gun away.
“Tim Walz and I are both gun owners. We’re not taking anyone’s guns away. So stop lying about this stuff all the time,” she said during the debate with Donald Trump.
