Kaley Cuoco reveals nine-month-old daughter Matilda watched the first season of Succession and loves her iPad as she talks parenting on ABC talk show

Kaley Cuoco revealed that her daughter Matilda watched the first season of Succession while talking about parenthood on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday.

The 38-year-old actress has nine-month-old daughter Matilda with her acting partner Tom Pelphrey, 41, and told Jimmy, 56, how she was recently on a plane and sat next to a couple with a six-month-old…

'I knew our flight was coming. I thought, 'Oh, my God. How are you going to do this?'' …I said, ''Are you going to watch some TV, turn on some TV for the kid?'' She said, ''Oh, no. We don't allow TV for our kid yet.'” And I was like, 'Matilda just watched the first season of Succession last week,'” Kaley said as Jimmy burst out laughing.

'I thought: OK, shouldn't we do that? I do not understand. I'm not joking. We saw the final. She's like, oh my god,” Kaley said with a laugh while wearing a sparkly black dress and a nameplate necklace that read “Tildy.”

Kaley joked that Matilda was “really shocked by the finale” of the HBO drama.

“I told her the show was over, she was crying,” Kaley said.

“I think I do everything exactly the opposite of what people do,” Kaley said.

Jimmy said he remembered watching a lot of television as a child and being told to read books.

“Now I think television is books and iPads are television,” Jimmy said.

'Yes, I agree! I agree,” Kaley said.

“Like, if you can keep them off the iPad, put her in front of the TV, no problem,” Jimmy joked.

“Oh, she loves her iPad too,” Kaley said.

“Oh, she has an iPad?” Jimmy asked.

“Oh, she's watching everything. I have no shame. As long as she doesn't cry,” Kaley said.

“Does she know how to use the iPad?” Jimmy asked.

'She's getting really good. It is scary. She can move. The hands are moving,” Kaley said.

Jimmy joked that Kaley made a lot of parents feel good about what they do.

'One or the other, we'll see. Lots of judgement. Stop judging the mothers out there. Come on guys. Let them watch Succession,” Kaley said.

Kaley said Tom was the “opposite” of her and called him the “safe” parent.

'She's nine months old. He still holds her where her head can't fall. Honey, I think her head is fine,” Kaley said.

Kaley was on the ABC talk show to promote her new action-comedy film Role Play, which will be released on Amazon Prime Video on Friday.

The Big Bang Theory star is a producer on the film, which also stars David Oyelowo, Connie Nielsen and Bill Nighy.

Kaley plays Emma Brackett who leads a secret life as a hitman that her husband Dave, played by David, discovers when they try to spice up their marriage with a little role play.

The film was shot in Berlin in 2022 and Kaley told Jimmy that she found out she was pregnant during the first week of shooting.

“So I made that whole movie pregnant,” Kaley said.

“I was a pregnant assassin. I didn't tell anyone because I thought they wouldn't let me do fun killer things. The only person I told was my stunt double and Tom,” she said.

Kaley said she had morning sickness during filming.

'I was so sick. So all I wanted for that entire shoot was Taco Bell, and in Berlin they don't have Taco Bell. All of Germany, no Taco Bell,” Kaley said. “You might want to work on that.”

Kaley said she wanted Taco Bell, but the other food she wanted was Subway.

'I just wanted tuna sandwiches from Subway. So I sat in the corner eating tuna sandwiches,” she said.

Kaley admitted it must have been a “gross image.”

'And no one knew I was pregnant. And they say she only eats tuna sandwiches, acts very strange and sweats a lot. It wasn't ideal,” Kaley said.
