AVISE CAGNAZZO: Paul Pogba has NOT played a minute for Juventus this season due to a knee injury – his long-awaited second debut should be in January, but is there room for him in the starting eleven now that the Italian giants are back on form?
- Paul Pogba has had a nightmare at Juventus since his return this summer
- Pogba has yet to play competitively this season due to a knee injury
- After a difficult period, Juventus are enjoying a purple form in Serie A
Paul Pogba is on the verge of finally making his Juventus next year, six months later than planned following a meniscus injury badly treated by his entourage.
In their last six Serie A matches, Pogba have not been missed – with Juventus scoring 12 goals and keeping six clean sheets in 540 minutes.
When Juventus were in a bad spell, they won the Turin derby to start their impressive run of results.

His only appearances for the Italian giants were in preparation for his meniscus injury
After a confrontation in the dressing room, the team decided to change tact, favoring the gradual entry of the golden youngster in Nicolo Fagioli and Fabio Miretti, called up today by Roberto Mancini’s Italian national team. Both are two dangerous options for him and are now ready to push forward with Juventus and Italy.
While they shine in Pogba’s absence, he is working hard to return to action in January. The only reason he didn’t go to the World Cup was because he’s not 100 per cent fit and if he got injured in Qatar his relationship with Juve would deteriorate.
Pogba is a key player, with an important pedigree and a four-year contract with the Italian giants. However, the question is where does he fit into Massimiliano Allegri’s system when fit – especially with Fagioli and Miretti starring?

3-5-2 OR 4-3-3, 100% POGBA WOULD ALWAYS PLAY BUT IN WHOSE PLACE?
Juventus have had a season of ups and downs so far, but things are going well now and this is without Pogba and Federico Chiesa for the most part.
At the beginning of October, no one thought that Juventus could finish third in Serie A, but the results achieved put Allegri in an advantageous position to use Pogba as a new signing in the new year.
Adrien Rabiot, Miretti, Fagioli and Manuel Locatelli have all saved Juventus’ season so far by closing the midfield gap left by Pogba and then Leandro Paredes and Weston McKennie.
Once Pogba returns, it looks like Rabiot will start alongside his French compatriot in midfield with Paredes and McKennie. Then Fagioli and Miretti will rotate with Locatelli, a supersub that can replace all those figures.

JUVENTUS ARE DISAPPOINTED BY POGBA
Pogba needs to regain Juventus’ trust. This is his mission after a disastrous start to the year. At the moment he is a UFO with zero minutes in a Juventus shirt this season. His physique is like a torn canvas struggling to be sewn shut.
In his six years at Manchester United, the French star has missed 100 matches due to various physical problems. The worst season was in 2019-2020 when he was out of 45 games due to a damaged ankle. with 45 home from the battered ankle.
His contribution to the Juventus cause has been non-existent since his return and it has aggravated the club that lacks his qualities.
His fear of surgery caused a short circuit in the Juventus medical staff that lost Pogba for 90 days in order to respect the player’s wish not to undergo meniscus surgery. Still, his salary hasn’t been reduced: £7million a year for four years – which is an incredible burden so far on the financial strength of a club that has yet to field their number 10.
Now it’s up to Pogba to regain the trust of CEO Maurizio Arrivabene and Andrea Agnelli by becoming a technical asset on the pitch.
Juventus want to see their number 10 on the field in 2023 and not injured on the sidelines
