Justin Bieber’s tearful interview about wanting to ‘protect’ Billie Eilish from music industry resurfaces after Diddy’s arrest

Justin Bieber’s emotional interview in which he spoke about protecting Billie Eilish from the music industry has resurfaced following the arrest of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

The 30-year-old hitmaker has been active in the music industry since he was 15 and has struggled with mental health issues for years.

In 2020, when Bieber was promoting his album Changes and Billie Eilish had become wildly popular, he reached out to her to give her insight into the music industry and offer her support.

“I just want to protect her. I don’t want her to go through what I went through. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone,” Bieber said, holding back tears.

Bieber’s professional relationship with Diddy early in his career came back into the spotlight this week after Diddy was arrested on suspicion of sex trafficking.

Diddy was charged with years of coercion and abuse, using blackmail and violence to control his victims.

He is also accused of inducing female victims and male sex workers to engage in sexual acts, sometimes lasting for days under the influence of drugs, known as ‘Freak Offs’.

Bieber spoke candidly about his broader struggles in the industry during the album’s promotional tour, saying, “It was bad… It was dark.

“Think about how young I was and so impressionable, and everyone tells me all the time how great I am… I just want people to understand the psychology of the fact that I could possibly have problems in my life.”

Bieber said he was “living in this shame and all that stuff from his past” but wanted to “be a good example” for Eilish.

“It was hard for me, because I was so young and in the industry. I didn’t know where to turn. Everyone said they loved me and then they turned their backs on me.

“So if she ever needs me, I’ll be there for her… I’m just a phone call away.”

Bieber encouraged people to “look at my story” through his music, adding: “Hopefully my words can make a difference.”

Bieber and Diddy had a close relationship during the early years of the Baby hitmaker’s career.

In one clip, Diddy stands next to Bieber, who was then 15, and tells the camera, “He has 48 hours with Diddy where we’re together and what we do, we can’t really reveal.

“But it’s absolutely every 15-year-old’s dream.”

The 54-year-old hip-hop mogul added: “I got custody of him. He’s signed to Usher and I had legal custody of Usher when he made his first album.”

Khloe Kardashian recalls running into Justin Bieber at one of Diddy’s celebrity parties, revealing that “half the guests were naked.”

Combs pleaded not guilty to the charges against him last week and was denied bail despite his legal team’s request for $50 million in bail and digital surveillance.

The artist is accused of using “power and prestige” to lure and intimidate women “under the pretext of a romantic relationship.”

Prosecutors say they have interviewed more than 50 victims and witnesses and expect that number to increase.
