Justin Baldoni admitted in an unearthed interview that he had an “unhealthy” relationship with porn.
The resurfaced comment comes amid 37-year-old Blake Lively’s scathing lawsuit against the 40-year-old actor, with whom she starred in the summer blockbuster It Ends With Us.
“I was introduced to porn when I was 10 years old,” he said on a July 2021 episode of Sarah Grynberg’s podcast: A life of greatness.
He added that his first encounter with adult content was “long before” he could “get an erection or even know how I felt about anything.”
“It was, you know, like any young boy seeing breasts for the first time: it’s exciting because our culture has shielded them from us because they’re sexualized. It’s cultural,” Justin explained at the time.
“You go to places like Africa and different tribes… and the breast is the breast. We’ve sexualized this thing, so of course it becomes fascinating and interesting and you think, “Oh my God, breasts.” And then, you know, the hormones start raging,” the Jane the Virgin star said.

Baldoni further revealed that he “took refuge” in porn when he felt alone, abandoned, hurt and because it was a “dopamine rush.”
‘I trained my brain to deal with pain with the dopamine hit. But that doesn’t mean I don’t use something in an unhealthy way,” says the author of Man Enough: Undefining My Masculinity.
He opened up, “I found myself going back to looking at images and videos of naked women over the course of my life while necessarily feeling bad about myself.
“And I knew it was a problem for me if I told myself I didn’t want to do that,” he added.
In the aforementioned lawsuit, Lively claims Baldoni showed her explicit videos and photos of other women, openly discussed his struggles with pornography, and made inappropriate comments about her appearance.
The film adaptation of It Ends With Us tells the story of Lily Bloom (Lively), a woman who faces the trauma of domestic violence inflicted by her husband, Ryle Kincaid (Baldoni).
The film is based on Colleen Hoover’s book of the same name, inspired by her mother’s experience with domestic violence during her marriage to the author’s father.

Previous reports included allegations that Baldoni showed vivid nude videos and images of other women, discussed his porn addiction and made inappropriate comments about her weight, her late father and other members of the cast and crew.
Newly revealed details in the lawsuit allege even more egregious behavior, with court documents obtained by People alleging Baldoni engaged in “improvised physical intimacy” during a scene with no prior discussion or choreography.
One incident reportedly involved Baldoni “discreetly biting and sucking Ms. Lively’s lower lip” during multiple takes, during which he reportedly insisted on reshooting the scene repeatedly despite Lively’s obvious discomfort.
The lawsuit alleges that Baldoni asked sexual questions, including asking Lively if she and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, had experienced simultaneous climaxes — a question she found intrusive and refused to answer.
