Former Secretary of State Julie Bishop has launched her new career as a social media influencer.
The 66-year-old promoted her stay at the five-star Gansevoort Meatpacking in New York City, which costs up to $2,814 per night.
She shared a video on Instagram from outside the hotel on Tuesday before attending an Anzac Day morning service.
“I just walked from the Upper East Side to the Meatpacking District. It’s a very different atmosphere here,’ Mrs. Bishop began.
‘I’m staying in the super cool Gansevoort hotel, which is right behind me. I can not wait for it.’

After checking into the hotel, she added, “So my first stop at the Gansevoort is the coffee shop and they make me an almond milk cappuccino.”

Ms. Bishop then attended an Anzac Day morning service in NYC, where she addressed the crowd in black slacks and a long white designer coat.
The retired liberal politician accessorized her ensemble with Louis Vuitton earrings, which retail for $36,910, and an $800 scarf.
Her trip to New York comes after she recently attended Capella Sydney’s official opening night with her rumored new boyfriend Luke Hepworth.

It was Ms Bishop’s second red carpet appearance with the hunky entrepreneur, though he has denied the pair are dating.
She first stepped out with Mr Hepworth at a Moët & Chandon ball in Sydney.
Ms Bishop went through a painful breakup with her partner of eight years, David Panton, last year.
