Julia Fox was close to the Kardashians years before her public affair with Kanye West, Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband.
The 33-year-old multihyphenate – who attended the Room to Grow Gala this week – shared the little-known detail on Thursday during a talk to promote her new book Down The Drain with Richie Shazam.
The connection with the reality stars – Kim and sisters Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian – was made according to her fashion line Franziska Fox. Subway.
Shazam, who worked with Julia on the label, revealed that the sisters “placed an order for our clothing line because they wore our pieces all the time. They helped our company stay afloat because they placed an order and we were sold on the DASH store back when that was still a thing.”
Fox and West, 46, created a media frenzy around their short-lived romance in January 2022, which the Uncut Gems star addressed in her memoir.

Shazam added during the surprise reveal, “I remember when we got to the end, this was a little unknown tidbit, one of the last orders that were placed – because I ran into them – was the Kardashians.”
He noted, “We were in our early twenties and didn’t really know what we were doing.
‘I just called them because they were wearing our clothes so much. In the end it worked and that is the question of persevering. We were very persistent.’
“And shameless,” Julia emphasized before Richie remembered, “We had nothing to lose.”
“We used to have all our samples in the trunk and just drive around the tri-state area to stores, taking the clothes to the stores,” Fox said during the chat before a live audience.
It comes after Fox revealed there was ‘no sex’ in her relationship with West during their fleeting courtship.
The star said it “wasn’t about that” when describing the relationship between the unlikely pair.

Last November, Julia claimed she got involved with the Chicago-born music artist to “distract” him from pursuing Kim.
She said she was “delusional” because she thought she could help the rapper but wanted to “get him off Kim’s case.”
Via TikTok, the beauty replied to a fan who asked her why she was dating “a famously violent misogynist and anti-Semite.”
The mother of one noted that her relationship with West occurred before his reputation-damaging comments.
Julia replied, “Okay, I was just going to write about it in my book and have you all buy it, but I’ll just tell you for free.
“First of all, the guy was normal to me and not only that, but the Kardashians, when I had a clothing line ten years ago, they bought our clothes and sold them in their stores, and so I’ve always had a thing for it. Kim especially and even Kourtney especially and I like them all quite a bit.
“But no, like the big three: Khloé, Kim, Kourtney. Those are my girls. Anyway, by the time me and him got together, it was like he hadn’t done anything yet, you know, like ‘out there’.”
She later shared, “I had this thought: I was like, ‘Oh my god, maybe I can get him out of Kim’s case.’ Maybe I can distract him, just get him to like me and I knew if anyone could do that, it’s me because when I feel like doing something, I do it.’

It would turn out that Kim was also one of the reasons Julia and Kanye’s affair came to an unceremonious halt. In her book, Fox describes how she sent West a text message saying she was “not enjoying the relationship anymore,” to which he allegedly responded, “If you loved me, you would support me.”
Fox said the pair then spoke on the phone “one last time,” writing, “He tells me he had a good chat with his soon-to-be ex-wife and found out a lot of information about me.”
“I didn’t know you were a drug addict,” he says, as if I’ve fooled him. ‘I told you! Maybe if you listened more carefully. And don’t forget, you too!’ At this point I’m screaming. He remains silent for once. (then says:) “You said you wouldn’t embarrass me.”
Julia added, “I refuse to let him hear me cry, so I hang up and tell my publicist to inform the press that we’re done.”
