Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen injured his elbow in his team’s victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday night.
The MVP candidate didn’t seem concerned about the issue when he spoke to CBS after the game, but his team can’t afford for him to get seriously hurt with the playoffs looming.
“Oh, you’re talking about — I fell and got helmeted to the bone,” Allen said of the incident that occurred in the fourth quarter.
“I went to throw the next one, but I had no feeling in my hand. So I came out a little shaky. Hell, it happens sometimes. We move on.’
Earlier on Sunday, it emerged that Allen broke his left hand during a touchdown run in the Bills’ opening game of the season against the Arizona Cardinals.
Josh Allen broke the pain barrier again as the Bills defeated the Patriots on Sunday

The signal caller was previously on the Bills’ injured list due to a hand injury in Week 12, but the extent of his pain was not previously known.
The only noticeable difference is the number of shots Allen takes in the middle compared to in a shotgun or pistol formation.
Sunday’s narrow 24-21 victory over the Patriots keeps the Bills’ limited hopes alive of overtaking the Kansas City Chiefs and capturing the AFC No. 1 seed for the playoffs.
“It was pretty challenging,” Allen said. “Any time you play a divisional opponent, you know they have a good plan for you.
The ugly count for as much as the beautiful, so I’m glad we can get out of here and get a W. We passed the ball well, but we need to be better in the passing game.”
Allen has a week to overcome any issues resulting from the helmet hit – the Bills are back in action next Sunday against the 4-11 New York Jets.
The Patriots’ win leaves the Bills at 12-3 on the season, meaning they must win their final two regular season games from here and hope the Chiefs lose 14-1 to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos.
If that were to happen, both teams would have a 14-3 record, but the Bills would take the No. 1 seed when they defeated the Chiefs earlier this season.
