  • The winger has been linked with a move away from Canterbury
  • The 29-year-old had tested positive for cocaine during a road test

Footy star Josh Addo-Carr took to Instagram on Wednesday to repost an inspirational quote from the film Night At The Museum.

The NRL star has been heavily linked with a move away from the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in recent months.

It comes after the 29-year-old tested positive for cocaine during a random roadside drug test in September.

The test came a week before Canterbury’s final defeat to Manly on September 15.

The winger has maintained his innocence throughout, vehemently denying taking the illegal substance but ruling himself out of the match.

He had accepted a police fine and a driving ban after the incident.

The NRL has confirmed the winger was issued an infringement notice almost a month ago.

“The National Rugby League (NRL) has today served Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs player Josh Addo-Carr with an infringement notice alleging he has breached the NRL Code of Conduct,” the NRL said.

‘Addo-Carr was fined by NSW Police earlier this month for the offense of “Presence of prescribed illicit drugs in the oral fluid, blood or urine of a person” while driving a motor vehicle.

‘The infringement notice alleges that Addo-Carr has engaged in conduct that is contrary to law and has brought the game and its club into disrepute.’

And in a revealing Instagram post, Addo-Carr may have dropped a major hint that he is set to make a move to another NRL club.

On Wednesday, he shared a video to his story from Instagram user @rotquotes, depicting a scene between Ben Stiller and Robin Williams from Night At The Museum.

Williams tells Stiller, “It’s time for your next adventure!”

To which Stiller, who plays night shift security guard Larry Daley in the film, responds, “I have no idea what I’m doing tomorrow?”

Williams responds: ‘How exciting!’

It is also understood that Addo-Carr has been spending some time with his family in recent weeks, with Michael Carayannis explaining to SEN Radio last week that his partner, Lakaree Smith, is due to give birth so he has “put things on a put on the back burner’. a little bit.’

It comes as managing director Phil Gould has urged Addo-Carr to decide where his future could lie.

“I recently spoke to his manager and all I asked the manager and Josh to do is to think about their own future, what they think is best, (and) for him to calmly talk to his family about the sit down at the table and have a good conversation. think about what happened,” Gould said.

‘I like Jos. He has been very good for our club, he has certainly been an asset to us. It’s a shame that he keeps letting himself down in this regard at various times.

“I want him to think about what’s best for his future and then come back and talk to me.”
