Actor and singer Johnny Ruffo has described his greatest fear during his ongoing battle with terminal brain cancer.
The former Home and Away star, 34, explained that while he is not afraid of dying, he is concerned that his family and girlfriend Tahnee Sims won’t get a chance to “say goodbye.”
‘I’m afraid for my brother, my mother, father and Tahnee that they will not be with me’ [when I die],’ he told The Daily Telegraph.

“It’s impossible that my family will all be here. The probability of that is [slim]. It would be ideal if everyone was there – not for me, but for themselves.’
Johnny was first diagnosed with brain cancer in 2017 after going to the hospital with painful migraines.
In August of that year, he had emergency surgery and a 7 cm brain tumor was surgically removed from his frontal lobe before undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

The former X Factor star praised his partner Tahnee, calling her his “guardian angel.”
“She’s here with me every step of the way,” he said. “I’m so grateful to have her by my side, I don’t know what I would do without her.”
Johnny went into remission months after his initial diagnosis in 2017, but revealed in November 2021 that the disease had returned.

The former Dancing with the Stars contestant revealed during an August interview with The Project that his prognosis was terminal.
Despite his battles, he said he was more concerned about how Tahnee would fare after his passing.
“You can only imagine how hard it has been for her,” he told host Carrie Bickmore.
“What’s on my mind a lot is, I don’t like to say this, how hard it can be for her if something happens to me.”

He previously said: Who magazine? he loves Tahnee “more than anything” and it breaks his heart to see the pain she goes through as his condition worsens.
“Tahnee inspires me to want to do better and be better. She helps me find the fight every day and I am so grateful for that. I can’t thank her enough,’ he said.
Johnny revealed that they try to keep their relationship as normal as possible by talking about plans for the future, but his bleak prognosis is still a heavy burden on them.
He has often spoken of the support Tahnee has given him since his diagnosis, once crediting her with “driving” his life.
The pair met in a dance studio in 2015 and have been together ever since.
