In November, Fetterman was seen waving an Israeli flag in the faces of protesters outside the Senate.
Fetterman, who is not Jewish, has been criticized by members of his own party for staunchly supporting Israel to defend itself against Hamas terrorists in the aftermath of the October 7 attacks.
He was an outspoken supporter of Israel and emphasized the tragedy suffered by innocent Israelis.
A deep partisan divide has erupted among Democrats as the death toll in Gaza continues to rise and even President Biden has accused Israel of an “indiscriminate bombing campaign.”
Fetterman, meanwhile, taped photos of Israeli hostages to the wall outside his office and covered himself in an Israeli flag in photos.

“I find it confusing that the far left progressives in America don’t really seem to want to support the only progressive nation in the region that really embraces the same kind of values that I would expect we would want as a society,” Fetterman said. .
He says he is the only senator with both an LGBTQ flag and a POW flag outside his office.
“Can’t it be quite appropriate to stand for both?”
“In my front office I put up the posters of the innocent Israelis kidnapped by Hamas,” and shared a video of the posters on X.
“They will remain until everyone returns home safely,” he wrote.
Fetterman said that too he had met families of the Hamas hostages and survivors of the October 7 massacre last year.
“Together we started posting photos of the hostages outside my office to emphasize the urgent need to bring them all home. My office is posting the latest messages,” he wrote on X.
Early in the conflict, he criticized his Democratic colleagues for rushing to blame Israel for a hospital explosion in Gaza.
“It is truly disturbing that members of Congress rushed to blame Israel for the hospital tragedy in Gaza,” Fetterman said in a post on X.
“Who would they take the word of a group that just slaughtered innocent Israeli civilians because of our most important ally?”
In November, the Pennsylvania senator said, “In my front office I displayed the posters of the innocent Israelis kidnapped by Hamas,” and shared a video of the posters on X.
‘I’m not a progressive’ Fetterman clarified this to NBC News last month. “I just think I’m a Democrat who’s very interested in choices and other things.
“But when it comes to Israel, I’m on the right side. And immigration is something that is close to my heart, and I think we need to tackle it effectively.”
Fetterman’s staunch support of Israel goes back years.
