Joel Dommett’s wife Hannah Cooper has given birth.

The couple announced the arrival of their first child on Tuesday.

Joel, 38, and Hannah, 34, kept the sex of their baby a secret but revealed they had welcomed a baby boy in a happy joint Instagram post.

The couple, who married in 2019, revealed their son’s unique name as they shared the first photo of their newborn.

Wrapped in a blanket, Hannah shared a photo of her little boy’s feet and wrote: “Wilde Cooper-Dommett. Pinterest of perfect baby feet that are already bigger than his father’s.

Jess Wright wrote: “Congratulations guys”, while TV doctor Dr Ranj Singh said: “Congratulations my lovely gang”.

Strictly star Adam Thomas typed: “Guys xxxxx.”

The happy news comes after Joel revealed the birth could potentially conflict with his TV commitments.

The star was featured at the National Television Awards on September 5 and the comedian revealed the show could coincide with this baby’s arrival.

Speaking to comedians Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe on their Parenting Hell podcast last week, Joel confessed that NTAs are “reaching due date pretty soon”.

About his wife’s pregnancy, the star said Hannah was 35 weeks pregnant at the time and he hoped she wouldn’t give birth yet.

“I have the NTAs, so I want that done first,” Joel confessed.

Co-host Rob then asked the former I’m A Celebrity star: “When are the NTAs?” forcing Joel to confess that they are “pretty soon to the due date”.

“If she starts work on the day of the NTA which is live from the O2, let me know and I’ll come over and host it,” Rob joked.

Joel then admitted that ITV actually had a contingency plan in place, but that they wouldn’t tell the star who the stand-in presenter is.

“They say they have a possibility but they don’t tell me who it is,” admitted Joel.

The comedians then joked together about who they thought ITV would be ready to take over, as they came to the conclusion that This Morning presenter Craig Doyle could be at the top of the list of potential replacements.

Discussing the plan for the evening, Josh asked Joel what the communications plan was for the evening.

“Have you discussed the nature of the communication, will you keep your phone on?

“That’s what I think,” Joel explained, “because you know it’s live so there are breaks so I think I’ll just keep my phone on me and check during the breaks and then I might come back after a break and suddenly it’s Craig Doyle.

Baby on the way! The couple revealed they were expecting their first child in May, posting snaps of Hannah’s growing baby bump.

“So the emergency will have to be somewhere in the night,” Rob realized, conjuring up the image of the fill-in presenter waiting in the wings to take over from Joel.

“Yeah and they won’t tell me who it is.” I keep guessing it’s the fucking traitors,” Joel added.

The couple married in 2019 after three years together, in an idyllic ceremony in Mykonos, officiated by their friend Iain Stirling.

Speaking about the pregnancy, Joel also confirmed that Hannah was doing well, but she was having trouble sleeping, so he read aloud to her.

“Hannah can’t fall asleep because she’s pregnant, so she likes me to read to her so she falls asleep easily,” Joel revealed.

“It’s also actually pretty good because she’s falling asleep and I’m practicing the automatic cues!” »

The star said the couple read a lot of baby books in preparation for becoming parents, including the spin-off book from Rob and Josh’s podcast.

Joel also confirmed that he and his wife tried hypnobirthing and listened to the recordings over breakfast.

The couple revealed they were expecting their first child in May, with Joel admitting he had “no idea what he was doing”.

Hannah admitted she was worried he would see their baby as another member of the comedy audience and explained she was looking for a birth partner so Joel wouldn’t “piss her off”.

According to The sunhe said: “I really have no idea what I’m doing, but I think, I hope, I’ll be a fun dad.”

Hannah then revealed that Joel didn’t know what dilation during labor meant, with the TV star admitting: “I’m still learning.”
