Joel Dommett is sent sweet good luck message from his wife Hannah Cooper and baby son as he runs the London Marathon in Masked Singer costume

Hannah Cooper-Dommett wished her husband Joel Dommett the best of luck as he ran the London Marathon on Sunday as he prepared to take part in a giant Masked Singer costume.

The comedian, 38, takes part in Britain’s second biggest annual road race and his wife – who gave birth to their son Wilde last September – compared the running and training to being pregnant.

In an Instagram reel, she shared a photo with the caption: “The physical intensity of pregnancy is like running a 40-week marathon.”

Hannah wrote: “Just leaving you here…” as she shared some snaps of her showing off her baby bump before the birth.

The blonde beauty then shared her confidence that her other half would do well in the race.

The little one could also be seen kicking his stocking feet and wearing a baby romper that said “Go Daddy!”

The TV star normally wears a tuxedo as he presents ITV1 show The Masked Singer, in which celebrities hide their identities with elaborate costumes, but he chose to turn the tables and opt to dress up as a fish for the to run a marathon.

Seemingly misinterpreting the meaning of the famous idiom, Hannah captioned her post: “You will take to this like a fish out of water!!!”

The former I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! participant is running the race in aid of children’s charity Shooting Star, which supports babies, children and young people living with life-limiting conditions.

Joel revealed that his costume comes equipped with a small light and he even has a place there to keep his phone.

He said, ‘I’ve got light there, a little light, I’ve got my gel, I’ve got a place for my phone. I can do my emails, I’m going to have a fantastic time!’

He runs with good friend Romesh Ranganathan and joked that he wanted to run ‘faster’ like a fish than The Weakest Link host could normally dress.

Just before the race started, Joel explained to BBC presenter Gabby Logan: ‘I’m running in a fish costume from The Masked Singer and my main aim is to run faster than a fish than Romesh as a person!’

Running with close friend Romesh Ranganathan, Joel joked that he wanted to run ‘faster’ like a fish than The Weakest Link host could normally dress.

Romesh joked, “I haven’t felt human in a long time, so I’m not too worried about that! My target time is to finish while the roads are still closed!’

Hannah and Joel kept their baby’s gender a secret during pregnancy, but revealed they welcomed a son in September in a cheerful joint post on Instagram.

The couple, who married in 2019, revealed their son’s unique name when they shared the first photo.

Wrapped in a blanket, Hannah shared a photo of her son’s feet and wrote: ‘Wild Cooper-Dommett. Pinterest perfect baby feet that are already bigger than his father’s.’
