Jillian Michaels’ $10M Malibu mansion miraculously survives LA fires as her neighbors’ homes reduced to ashes

Jillian Michaels is one of the few whose Malibu home miraculously survived the devastating LA fires.

The Hollywood trainer joins Tom Hanks, Kate Hudson, Mark Hamill and other stars whose properties managed to escape the flames, which have claimed at least 16 lives and forced more than 100,000 evacuations.

Unfortunately, not all celebrities escaped unscathed, as stars like Anthony Hopkins, Paris Hilton, Spencer Pratt, Jeff Bridges and others saw their homes go up in smoke.

In new photos, Michaels’ beachfront mansion sits largely untouched amid the charred remains of her neighbors’ homes, a stark contrast to the destruction surrounding it.

Some minor damage is visible on the 4,300-square-foot property, which features 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, and which Michaels tried to sell in 2017 for $9.75 million.

The report comes just days after the Biggest Loser star told DailyMail.com exclusively that she is “personally outraged” by the wildfires ravaging Los Angeles and has a bone to pick with the California government.

“People are dead, houses are burned down, it’s not your first rodeo,” she told DailyMail.com. “It’s not that.”

“And if you know you have a fire-prone condition and – I’m going to tell you – you’ve got a global warning, then you literally have a tinderbox,” said the Balance sheet by Jillian Michaels founder continued.

“Isn’t this the part where you take the highest tax, the highest income tax, the highest sales tax, the highest gas tax and rebuild the infrastructure?”

She’s especially not a fan of California Governor Gavin Newsom and his handling of the wildfire outbreak.

He has been governor of the state since 2019.

The fitness celebrity further claimed that Newsom had known about the fires since early this week, when he began mobilize certain resources to the areabut she said he had failed to take sufficient action.

She believes he should have called in the National Guard much sooner to help fight these fires.

“I’m sorry, and the reason this is super serious to me is because this man wants to be your president. This is now going from a California problem to a nationwide problem,” Michaels said of Newsom.

“Just look at it, see it with your own eyes,” the Keeping It Real podcast host continued.

‘I’m familiar with it in a unique way. I’ve been through it.’

During the interview, she also admitted that she thinks California should do “controlled burns,” something she says has been done elsewhere for years.

Per National GeographicControlled burns are “setting planned fires to maintain the health of a forest,” which can be ignited when there is no threat to the population.

The right weather conditions are essential for a controlled burn to ensure it does not spread.

Michaels also hit back against environmentalists who didn’t believe in these prescribed burns.

In October, the U.S. Forest Service halted prescribed burns on federal lands San Francisco Chronicle.

‘How many mountain lions? How many coyotes?’ Michaels wondered.

“We all see pictures of baby deer running across burning roads. Tell me, how does that work for the environment?’

The fire that burned down Michaels’ home in 2018 was “started by utilities in high winds,” according to CNNbecause a ‘guy wire on a steel pole with a live conductor’ caused heated material to fall onto a patch of vegetation, starting the fires.

On Wednesday the certified nutritionist also went to X to share her thoughts, calling it “pure incompetence.”

“I am so angry for the people of California,” she wrote in part.

‘My family who stayed. My lifelong friends who live there. Our brave firefighters. This is not a partisan issue, it is pure incompetence and misplaced priorities.”
