Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio revealed on Thursday’s episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation on MTV that he was hospitalized for a ruptured hemorrhoid.
The 43-year-old reality star spotted the show’s medical staff at a group dinner in Tucson, Arizona, during the season seven episode titled “Ronnie, Sammi and Justin.”
“Is that the doctor?” said Pauly.
“I think so,” Vinny Guadagnino, 36, replied.
“A lot of respect for those guys after I almost died,” Pauly said.

“Oh, did they come in?” Vinny asked.
“Yes,” Pauly said as the show rewinded to three weeks earlier.
Pauly was shown in Nashville sitting in front of a green screen filming a confessional with a producer in which he made fun of Vinny.
“This chooch brought his jump rope onto the stage,” Pauly said before wincing.
Pauly then slowly got off the chair and bent over in pain.
‘I need to take a break. I feel dizzy,” Pauly said.
He asked the producer for crackers or snacks from craft services.
‘I’m not feeling well. I don’t feel well,” Pauly said.

“Dude, I’m so sorry,” the producer said.
Pauly started wheezing and the producer asked if he wanted to go outside for some fresh air.
“I can’t breathe,” Pauly said off camera as he gasped for air.
A producer said he was going to call 9-1-1 and Pauly was then seen in a confessional.
“You tell them about your health problems in Nashville,” the producer said. “Show me what happened.”
“Yeah, so in Nashville I had a little problem: I had a hemorrhoid that kind of ruptured and it bled all night. And then it started bleeding so bad that I lost so much blood that I passed out,” Pauly said.
‘So I had to be rushed to the hospital, and they had to give me a blood transfusion and then sew it up. And it was quite spicy. And I’m very thankful and thankful for Nikki. She was by my side, she flew to Nashville and she helped me through this whole process. It was a scary thing,” Pauly said of his girlfriend Nikki Hall.
The show then moved forward to the group arriving for dinner in Tucson and Vinny telling Pauly that he looked “like a million bucks now.”

‘I feel brand new. I feel like I’ve had an oil change. I bounced right back,” Pauly said.
On the way back, Pauly said he bled internally during the ordeal and had to cancel two shows.
“I’ve never canceled a show. I’ve never canceled a day in my life,” Pauly said.
Pauly said the Nashville team that treated him was great.
‘They found me some blood. By the way, I’m B negative. That’s what I learned,” Pauly said in a confessional.

“I’m sorry I hurt your feelings. There was no intent involved,” Sammi said.
They shouted at each other until Angelina stormed out.
‘I’m ready. F*** her!,” Angelina shouted.
Sammi’s boyfriend Justin May and Angelina’s fiancé Vinny Tortorella spoke while eating outside with the group and agreed that Sammi and Angelina both needed to move on.
They encouraged them both to squash their beef and got them into the same room together.
‘I have nothing against you. I can move on from this,” Sammi said.
Angelina brought up the TikTok video again and another argument broke out that forced the boys to get them back on track.
Sammi and Angelina eventually decided to coexist and they all joined the group.

Justin also shook hands with Sammi’s ex-boyfriend Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, 38, when he arrived in Tucson and met everyone at the restaurant.
“He shook his hand,” Pauly said.
“That wasn’t on my bingo card,” Vinny said.
Pauly admitted in a confessional that he didn’t think this would happen.
“For example, Justin is such a stand-up guy because he does that. I think this is a very respectable move,” Pauly said.
“You’re a good sport,” Sammi told Justin.
In a confessional, Sammi said she didn’t want her boyfriend and ex to shake hands, but she would prefer it to be peaceful rather than awkward.

“I was like, oh damn, I missed it? But at the same time, it’s good to hear because I don’t really want to get into chaos. I’m used to surrounding myself with chaos. I’m doing well now,” Ronnie said in a confessional.
The episode also featured a group meditation session where Deena Cortese, 37, muttered about the poor job the boys did organizing the holiday.
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, 42, debated whether to tell Vinny Tortorella that Angelina revealed her concerns about their relationship.
