Jennifer Lopez’s new project is off to a very good start.
The 54-year-old songbird’s new album This Is Me… Now is number one on Apple iTunes.
And her companion film of the same name has hit number one on Amazon Prime, where it is airing, DailyMail.com has learned.
“She is happy that both the album and the movie are doing so well,” a source told DailyMail.com. “She felt like her fans would respond positively to This Is Me… Now because it’s so personal. It is her vision and a demonstration of her creative freedom.’
Some of her new songs that are starting to hit the charts include This Me… Now, Rebound, Not. To go. Everywhere, and can’t get enough of it.
This is similar to her 2001 double hit when her film The Wedding Planner reached the number one spot at the box office the same weekend that her album titled J.Lo reached the top of the charts.
Next up: her documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told comes out on February 27.

The source also told DailyMail.com that Jennifer loves that she can create what she wants on her terms.
“Throughout her career, she’s been criticized for a lot of her career or having to stay within a certain box, and she hasn’t really been given creative freedom. That’s why this project was so incredibly important to her,” the friend said.
“It may take a while for people to understand her view because this has never been done before, but the documentary will explain even more,” the insider said.
On February 27, her documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told on Amazon Prime will provide a better insight into all this.
Lopez has done well on the streamers.
This Is Me… Now is her fourth number one film, followed by Marry Me (on Peacock), Shotgun Wedding (on Amazon Prime) and The Mother (on Netflix).
This comes after her production partner, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, reflected on Lopez’s drive last week. She said: ‘Years and years ago they told Jennifer you’re a dancer and you can’t act. And then she did Selena. Then they told her: you are an actress, you are not allowed to sing. She made an album called On the 6. A number 1 album. She simultaneously had both a No. 1 album (On the 6) and a No. 1 movie (The Wedding Planner), a first ever in history.
“And then they told her, you shouldn’t make this movie (This is Me…Now: A Love Story) because it defies all logic. But she made it and they now call it a ‘masterpiece’.

This comes right when Lopez was sitting down with Kelly Clarkson her talk showv on Monday morning.
The Bronx-born diva was chatting about her new film, documentary and album, all titled This Is Me… Now.
And with that, she revealed a new fact: before she got back together with Ben, her former fiancé from twenty years ago, she was afraid she would end up alone.
The crooner also said that the return to the Oscar-winning Affleck was a “plot twist” that she shares in her new film.
“This isn’t a fairy tale… this is a real story,” the former Fly Girl said.
Jennifer also said that she thinks she has really “grown as an artist and as a person.”
Lopez then dissected the lyrics to her new songs – one of which is titled Can’t Get Enough.

And the Latin American viewer bonded with Kelly over their “yin-yang” view of relationships.
Kelly said she is afraid of being in a relationship because she is losing herself, but Jennifer is afraid of being alone.
“We may have the same issues, but we went different paths,” Kelly said.
Clarkson then admitted that she targets men.
Lopez said, “I don’t know if it’s because I was the middle child or because we had one bed and we shared a bed with my sisters, so I was used to bodies around me,” she laughed.
“I felt very comforted by that and I liked that feeling,” Jennifer said.
The star then said she had to learn to be alone and be “my own best friend.”
She added: ‘I’m much better at it now and it took a lot of work, it takes a lot of work to change something about yourself and the patterns – that’s what the film is about, changing patterns.’

In celebration of Lopez’s new album This Is Me…Now, Jennifer took on Kelly in an ultra-competitive game of “Throw Me A Line!
And as a nod to her guest, Clarkson and My Band Y’all played Lopez’s hit Let’s Get Loud during Kellyoke.
This comes after Jennifer thanked fans for joining her new project.
She appeared on Instagram in a new video, thanking her followers for supporting her latest endeavors.
“I just had to say how much I love you and thank you,” she began. “The time has finally come, I know you’ve been waiting a long time.”
Before signing off, she added, “We’re going on tour, we’re doing this, it’s going to last all summer, all of us together.”

The clip comes after Jennifer teased that the This is Me… Now Tour, a 34-date series of North American arena concerts this summer, could be her “one last hurrah.”
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the singer talked about what to expect during the tour, which kicks off June 26 at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida.
The actress stated that her goal in performing has always been to provide her fans with an exciting and thrilling show.
“That’s my goal when people come to my show,” she said. “I always want people to walk away and say, ‘That’s the best show I’ve ever seen!’ One last hurray!’
In regards to her albums, she said she wasn’t considering creating a ‘Now’ when she recorded and released ‘Then’.
But looking back, she expressed a sense of destiny, describing it as “meant to be,” as both albums are dedicated to her husband, Ben.
“Sometimes you have those moments in your life where you think, ‘Oh, this had to be like this somehow,’” she said. “And I didn’t know that at the time, when I decided to call it This Is Me… Then.”
“I didn’t even realize it captured a moment when I first fell in love that way and wrote this whole album,” she continued.
‘And it was just that thing, and I thought, “Oh, I’m calling it This Is Me… Dan.” And then, you know, as fate would have it – 20 years later – here we are,” she said, referring to her romantic reunion with Affleck.
