Jenna Johnson shares a look at her ‘life lately’ with husband Val Chmerkovskiy and son Rome: ‘My everything’
On Wednesday, married couple Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy from Dancing with the Stars shared a glimpse into their “late life” with “Rainbow baby” Rome Valentin, who turns three months next Monday.
And that’s not the only milestone coming up, as the Cali-born, Utah-raised Hoof celebrates her 29th birthday on April 12, followed immediately by her fourth wedding anniversary to the Ukrainian 37-year-old on April 13.
Jenna – with 1.2 million followers on social media – revealed on her list of 10 blessings that she has already nicknamed their baby boy: “Rolly Polly Olly.”
Johnson shared a quick video of Val (née Valentin) getting their son’s date of birth in Roman numerals tattooed on his left forearm.
The #26 Mirrorball champion also posted a clip of her first dance session with Ukrainian dancer Sasha Altukhov, six weeks after welcoming little Rome.

But before the baby happiness, Jenna and Chmerkovskiy suffered from it ‘two years of infertility’ in which they have had at least one miscarriage in 2021.
“We were in Dallas for a show, and while we were practicing, we did something, and I just turned to him. I’m like, ‘Oh, I’m — I think I’m bleeding,'” Johnson recalled Good morning America on March 30.
And immediately my heart sank. I could tell from his face that it just turned white. And I sprinted to our hotel room, and I lost the baby in our hotel room.’
L’Occitane’s paid partner added, “No one knew we were pregnant and we were so excited. I was so, so sad. I was in so much pain.’
The two-time Mirrorball champion felt even closer to Jenna after the baby arrived: “The wave of love, I think, has definitely washed over me more in regards to my wife.”
Val and Johnson originally met on the set of the dance competition in 2014 before embarking on their romance in 2015.
The latin and ballroom dancers broke up in 2016-2017 when Chmerkovskiy had a three-month affair with his big brother Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s season 23 dance partner Amber Rose before eventually rekindling their romance.
Val and Maks will next star in an immersive cabaret show featuring wine tasting, magic and dancing called SAVOR After Hours, which runs from June 3 to September 3 at the JaM Cellars Ballroom at the Napa Valley Opera House in Napa, CA.
