Jeff Stelling has targeted his former Football Saturday colleague Matt Le Tissier after the latter shared a September 11 conspiracy post on his social media on Friday.
The former Southampton striker reposted a Twitter thread questioning the legitimacy of the disastrous event to his personal account.
Le Tissier’s former expert partner, Stelling, quickly responded saying: ‘Yes, this is totally and absolutely b*******’. The message was quickly deleted.
Stelling followed up his initial response with a standalone message that said, “Sorry if there was any confusion. I agree one hundred percent with Tiss.’
Following Stelling’s reply, a user commented in favor of Le Tissier’s thread, to which the ex-Saints star said: ‘Thanks for reading the situation wisely. Listen to both sides of the story and form your own opinion.’

The thread shared by Le Tissier consisted of 25 posts suggesting the tragic event was a ‘lie’.
The posts raised questions about the role of the US government, the capabilities of the hijackers and the nature of the building collapse.
Stelling was not the only one to denounce Le Tissier; conservative colleague Daniel Finkelstein described the thread as “downright anti-Semitic.”
Last month, Le Tisser claimed his family and close friends believed he had “mental health problems” following his controversial views during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Southampton legend has been an outspoken figure during the pandemic, regularly making headlines with his views on social media and in interviews.
His claims included that PCR tests were ‘the biggest fraud ever committed on humanity’, that dying Covid patients in Italy ‘were actors’ and that government interference in people’s lives during the lockdown’ was unjust.
In an interview with GB Newsthe 54-year-old admitted that his views could have contributed to him being banned by Sky Sports, and that his family and close friends thought he had ‘gone a bit crazy’.
Asked if he has paid a price for his views, he said: “I think the price people will probably point to is that I lost my job. Sky might tell you something different.
“They told me they just wanted to take the show in a different direction, but they didn’t deny it had anything to do with my social media posts.
