Jason Kelce has lifted the lid on his new career as an NFL analyst at ESPN as he prepares to join the network’s flagship coverage on Monday Night Football.
Kelce has signed a multi-year contract with ESPN, which will see him appear pregame – on Monday Night Countdown – and at halftime. He will also be part of ESPN and ABC’s coverage of Super Bowl XI in 2027.
The 36-year-old opened up about his new venture on the latest episode of his podcast New Heights with brother Travis Kelce.
Jason teased other possible ventures in the future, claiming they were “in the works,” but the former Eagles center confirmed the bulk of this deal involves Monday Night Countdown.
Travis congratulated his older brother and said to him: “I couldn’t be happier for you, dude.

“We grew up watching all the legends and ESPN really fueled our sports fandom, our competition, our knowledge of the games we played… it’s crazy.”
Jason responded by revealing the brothers’ first conversation about the opportunity to join ESPN.
“When I called you and we started talking about the different options, I mentioned ESPN in particular. I think your exact words were, ‘You’re going to Monday Night Football?'” the elder Kelce said.
“It’s crazy, especially growing up, this was the night that everyone thought about with football. Monday Night Football and now I’m going to be there with some incredibly talented people: Scott Van Pelt, Marcus Spears, Ryan Clark.
“All these guys offer not only great expertise but great personalities and I think he’s going to be a really fun guy. It’s going to be a fun time, we’re going to the games, traveling around, I still don’t know what I’m wearing so I guess we’ll find out.”

Jason has become famous for wearing flip-flops and sweatpants, but when Travis asked if ESPN would make him a little smarter, he replied, “I don’t mind wearing a suit, if that’s what it’s called.”
“There’s a time to be relaxed and relaxed, and there’s also a time where I think I let my guard down a little more.”
Chiefs star Travis pressed his brother on whether he could remain impartial in the television booth, especially when the Eagles played Kansas City on MNF.
“I’m obviously going to be biased in who I support, but in my analysis I definitely think I can be unbiased,” Jason said.
‘I’ve always been that way, even when I was a player I always tried to give my honest perspective and point of view and I don’t think that changes now.

“I’m just going to have more opportunities to express that – which is good or bad, probably bad if you’re a horse racing fan, but good if you’re a football fan.”
Jason was recently forced to withdraw and apologize after claiming legendary horse Secretariat was ‘squeezed to the gills’ in his heyday.
He continued: “Obviously, I will always root for the Chiefs – especially when you play – and Eagles. That’s where I’ve spent my entire career… but when it comes to sharing football analysis, I’ll always be honest.”
Travis then asked if his older brother would be harder on him than other players. “Are you going to sit on my ass?” the tight end said. “Are you going to be more open to saying damn things to me because it’s me?”
Jason replied, “No, I wouldn’t do that to you. I’m definitely going to laugh at you. I’m not going to jump on top of you. But if you do a crazy end zone dance that looks stupid to me, I make fun of it!”
