Jamie Foxx is doing physical rehab with support of family in Chicago after health scare in Atlanta

Jamie Foxx has moved cities as he is currently in Chicago with his family by his side according to a new report.

The 55-year-old Oscar winner – who has reportedly been out of the hospital for weeks – is now an institution touted as the country’s top physical medicine and rehabilitation center according to TMZ on Monday.

According to the site, his daughters, Corinne and Anelise, as well as the younger brother’s mother, Kristin Grannis, were all in the Windy City this weekend to spend time with him during his recovery from a health scare that happened while filming in Atlanta last month.

It was revealed days ago that the A-lister has been out of the hospital for weeks and is recovering at home, his daughter reveals.

Corinne Foxx, 29, took to Instagram on Friday denying reports that her 55-year-old father was still hospitalized — even claiming the actor was active and playing pickleball.

A Foxx spokesperson also confirmed to DailyMail.com that the actor is out of hospital.

It’s still unclear what the actor was hospitalized for, while his family is reluctant to release specific information.

“Family update: sad to see the media go wild,” Corinne wrote, alongside a report claiming his loved ones had “prepared for the worst.”

“My father has been out of the hospital for weeks to recover. In fact, he played pickleball yesterday! Thank you for everyone’s prayers and support!’

The shock update comes amid conflicting reports about his condition following his recent hospitalization.

Foxx lives in a lavish $10.5 million mansion in Hidden Valley, California.

Born Eric Bishop, the movie star was filming the action comedy Back In Action with Cameron Diaz in Atlanta, Georgia, in April when he was admitted to the hospital, though little is known about the complexities of the situation.

He is currently thought to be being treated at a state medical facility undergoing testing, but his daughter claims he has now been released.

His daughter appeared to be aiming for a report from gossip site Radar that claimed his family was “preparing for the worst.”

That report mentioned his daughter Corinne and that she had not given any details about his current state of health.

Sources claimed on the site that Foxx suffers from high blood pressure and that he was “lucky to be alive.”

Last week, sources told Page Six that “nothing had changed” and that the actor was “still in the same condition” after his health problems. MailOnline has reached out to representatives for Jamie for comment.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, his family posted on his profile, “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed” followed by praying hands, heart and fox emojis.”

It is unclear whether Foxx himself made the post. At the time, no further details about his condition had been shared, leading to speculation about how serious his illness is.

The Oscar winner’s account also gave a shout-out on Instagram to friend Nick Cannon, who has done hosting duties for him on the hit game show Beat Shazam.

Celebrities including AJ McLean, Ludacris and DJ Khaled had sent messages of support in response to Foxx’s Instagram post.

Sources close to the comedian recently told TMZ that he “needs all the prayers and well wishes his fans can muster.”

“He’s fine, thank God,” the source said. “He’s still in the hospital and the doctors are running tests, but he’s awake and alert. They’re watching him.’

Fans were initially alerted to the health scare when his daughter Corinne shared a dire statement on social media on April 12.

The 29-year-old actress wrote: “We wanted to share that my dad, Jamie Foxx, had a medical complication yesterday.

“Fortunately, with quick action and good care, he is already on the road to recovery,” she continued.

“We know how loved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family requests privacy during this time,” the statement concluded.

Since then, the family has shared limited details and it’s unclear what symptoms the comedian suffered.
