Ann Widdecombe hit out at James Haskell after he revealed that his wife Chloe Madeley had to leave him a list detailing how to care for their daughter Bodhi.
The 37-year-old former rugby player welcomed his first child with his personal trainer wife, 35, in August 2022 and they have been adjusting to life as new parents ever since.
Appearing on Jeremy Vine on Tuesday the 5th, James revealed that he took care of Bodhi, six months old, by himself for the first time over the weekend and shared how it went.
He called it “incredible” and said he had done a “great job” but admitted that Chloe deserved some of the credit because it left him a “road map” to being a parent.
However, Ann, who was a panelist on the talk show, was less than impressed when she criticized James for needing a ‘list’ to complete his parenting duties.

James had explained that Chloe, who is the daughter of Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, had given him a “detailed checklist” detailing how to care for her baby.
Speaking via video link, he said: “I was left alone to look after Bodhi for the first time this weekend.” How was she? I’m still around, I haven’t lost my mind. she was amazing.
‘But you know why right? I’d like to say it’s all down to me and my genius, but my wife is so organized that she wrote me a list item by item, a road map, if you will, which I followed to the letter and squashed it completely.
The first night, I bathed her, fed her, creamed her, put her to bed. She had a collapse about 45 minutes later, fed her, put her to bed, white noise and left.
“I’ve done such a good job that Chloe suggested I do it a little more often,” James added, a worried look on his face.
Returning to the studio, host Jeremy was seen laughing at her comments before asking Ann for her opinion.
To which Ann raged: ‘I’m not at all impressed. If your wife had to make a list saying bathe, feed, put to bed, cream. Hey honestly! Don’t you know now?
Twitter users were also unimpressed by his comments, sarcastically saying that he deserved a “medal” for his achievements as a father.

Funny: James did, however, mock the social media backlash when he commented below the video: “Here for the comments.”
One person joked: “Oh give him a medal,” while another wrote: “Awful, parents do parent things.”
A third questioned: ‘Baby was born on August 22, why has it taken 7 months to carry the baby alone? Chloe must be knackered!’
And a fourth commented, “You followed a set of instructions lol, you didn’t make it,” while a fifth mockingly added, “The father takes care of his own child.”

It comes after James admitted he was “terrified” before his first night babysitting Bodhi by himself while Chloe enjoyed a night out.
Before the weekend, he said it would be “a great time” while joking that he couldn’t call his wife for help and “give in to the enemy.”
Speaking on Jeremy Vine last week, he explained: “I’ve taken care of her, but it’s the first night just me and her.” It will be scary.
‘I don’t think I’m seeing anything other than her being like, ‘Are you still breathing? Are you still breathing?’
James continued: ‘And Chloe will be out. It will be a great time!

‘I do all the night feedings and I take her in the morning, that’s fine, but when she’s not home I can’t say, ‘Baby, what’s going on here?’
Host Jeremy exclaimed, ‘You can’t call Chloe!’
‘Can’t. I would never surrender to the enemy,’ James replied.
But then he added: “If I’m out and DJing and having fun, Chloe will call me to remind me what I’m missing and how bad it is at home and I should feel guilty about that.”
