YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has revealed he’s been left “emotionally hurt” after losing his grudge match with Tommy Fury.
The American online sensation lost a split decision when Fury, the brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, inflicted the first loss of his career on Paul’s record.
Now Paul has revealed that the fight has affected his emotions, even though the event was a “massive hit” watched by millions of people around the world.
Tweeting in the days following his loss, Paul tweeted: ‘The event business was a huge success.
‘It doesn’t mean I’m not emotionally hurt by the loss. But I’m not going to sit here and sulk.

Paul then insisted that he wants to use the pain to “power his way forward” in his career.
“I’m going to use that pain to propel me forward so I never feel like this again,” she added.
The 26-year-old was defeated after eight rounds of action in Saudi Arabia as former Love Island contestant Fury emerged victorious.
Paul produced a decent performance having started the sport at the age of 23 and dropped Fury with a jab that the Englishman protested was caused by a slip.
It was confirmed after the fight that Fury would be listed in the WBC’s official cruiserweight rankings following his win, which also saw him claim a belt that had been designed by the body just for the fight with Paul.
Paul is hoping for a rematch after earning credit for taking the fight the distance in Diriyah.
Critics have slammed those involved in the fight for ruining the professionalism of the sport given the rise of YouTubers trying to start boxing careers, but Paul and Fury won’t be worried after they both raked in big paydays.
Despite losing, Paul claims he earned £25 million as a result of the fight, while his opponent received a still impressive but more modest figure of closer to £5 million.
The duo could meet again after Paul indicated that he wanted to activate that clause of his contract.
Fury’s heavy-handed brother Tyson wants his brother to fight Paul again first before he takes on other opponents.
