Jake Gyllenhaal attends family screening of Strange World in London

Jake Gyllenhaal made a loose figure when he attended a family screening of Disney’s Stange World at The Picturehouse Central in London on Saturday.

The actor, 41, appeared in high spirits at the event wearing a beige jacket that he wore over a dark gray shirt.

The movie star also wore black pants and added to his look with matching shoes as he posed for the camera.

Strange World follows the Clades, a family of explorers who must put aside their differences as they embark on a journey to a mysterious planet called Avalonia.

The animated film also features the voices of Gabrielle Union, Lucy Liu, Dennis Quad and Jaboukie Young-White.

Earlier this year, Jake attended the D23 expo in Anaheim, California to promote the film along with some of his co-stars.

The Oscar nominee posted several snaps from the event billed as the ultimate Disney fan event on social media on Saturday, writing: “So nice to be at D23 yesterday to celebrate 100 years of Disney and show a sneak peek of Strange World ! ‘

“Thank you to all the people at Disney Animation, but in particular to Don Hall, Qui Nguyen and Roy Conli who made a spectacular film.”

He also thanked his fellow cast members in the heartfelt message.

Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, the versatile star said he was “really moved by the story.”

He added, “When they first presented it to me, I thought, ‘This is just the kind of movie that I love and enjoy watching and would love to be in.’ It was that easy.

“I think the issues it deals with in the microcosm of a family, which is how you heal the macro of the world, is a wonderful new idea.”

The actor was also impressed with the latest technology, explaining, “I think they’re updating the animation now… what they’re doing in this movie is just extraordinary.”
