iPhone 15 launch date is CONFIRMED by Apple – and there’s not long to wait

Apple has revealed it will hold a “special event” next month amid wild speculation about its new iPhone range.
Invitations to the tech titan’s ‘Wonderlust’ conference were released last night, with fans from around the world invited to watch at 10am PT (6pm BST) on September 12.
The event comes as numerous rumors have taken the internet by storm, with speakers claiming that a new range of iPhone 15s will be unveiled on the day.
New Apple Watches and AirPods may also be among the products launched, as the event will be streamed from Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California.
“Come join us for a special Apple Event broadcast from Apple Park,” the invitation reads. “Watch it online at apple.com.”

Following the announcement, Bloomberg leaker Mark Gurman “confirmed” that iPhone 15s, a new Apple Watch, and AirPods will be among the products announced at the event.
In a post on X, he wrote, “Apple September 12 iPhone 15 is official,” before adding, “Apple is announcing iPhone 15, a new Apple Watch and AirPods event on September 12.”
The long-awaited iPhone 15 has been at the center of speculation in recent months.
Rumors suggest that a titanium alloy frame, larger battery and elongated mute button are just some of the features the device may have.
Models can even come in a vibrant range of colors, including the fan favorite: green, crimson, pink and blue.
Meanwhile, others have claimed that a completely new iPhone ‘Ultra’ will be launched, with a much larger screen and an impressive camera lens.
But all models will likely have a USB-C charging port instead of the usual Lightning port as required by EU regulations.
Obviously, both the new Apple Watches and AirPods can also make use of the USB-C charging port.
While both products have remained largely mysterious until now, Gurman believes a ‘Watch 9’ could run on a ‘much more powerful chipset than the Apple Watch 8’.
