Inside the Hard Rock Beach Club: Mail Sport takes a look at the premiere, bikini-clad hospitality on offer at Miami Grand Prix for $1,750 a ticket

If there’s one thing the Miami Grand Prix is good at, it’s hospitality.

All Formula 1 races have luxury offerings for A-listers and high-paid competitors, but the South Florida race has taken grandeur to another level.

Now in its third year, the Hard Rock Beach Club has cemented itself as one of the circuit’s premier hospitality pillars.

Tickets are of course not cheap. Prices start at $1,750 for pool deck access over the three-day event and rise to $65,000 for a 10-person cabana with a minimum spend of $30,000 on food and beverages.

The club, which overlooks the track, is staffed by bikini-clad servers who deliver bottles of tequila to tables in classic nightclub fashion.

Post Malone, Maluma and the Jonas Brothers have all performed at the club before.

Keith Sheldon, president of entertainment and brand management at Hard Rock, told the Mail that his team had made the unique decision to broadcast the performances on all screens around the track.

“This idea came about as we were going to be the soundtrack of the race itself,” he explained.

“Even if you’re not there, you’ll get to see the sights and sounds of the Hard Rock Beach Club.”

He noted that the team wanted to replicate the American ‘in-game experience’ in a way that had not been done before at a motorsport event.

“You look at in-game entertainment in the NBA or NFL… it’s more than just the players on the court,” Sheldon said.

“It’s a reinforcement of the great athletes. We want to respect the racing experience itself… but it’s about the moments before a race.”

“In the first year, the artists had to take a leap of faith with us,” he said.

“Now that we’re in our third year and the Miami Dolphins organization has done such a fantastic job with the event, it’s an easier sell.”
