Inside the secret life of Sarah Snook and how her relationship with her husband Dave Lawson went from platonic to romantic

Sarah Snook has opened up about her unconventional love story with her actor husband Dave Lawson.

The Emmy Award winner, 36, told Vogue Australia that their romance did not follow a traditional path as they developed from friends to lovers over several years.

“We’ve been friends since 2014, living together, traveling together, always excited to see each other, but completely platonic,” she began.

However, things changed in 2021 when they were stuck together in Melbourne and they both realized that they had strong romantic feelings for each other.

“At the start of the pandemic last year, I was locked down in Melbourne with one of my best friends and we fell in love. We’d just never been single at the same time.’

The Adelaide-born star said once she realized their love was forever, she took the initiative and proposed to her Peter Rabbit star boyfriend, 45.

“I proposed and we got married in my backyard in 2021. It is a very beautiful grace that without the pandemic we might not have ended up together so quickly.’

‘We fell in love, I proposed, got married and had a child in a short time. It’s not a big word to say ‘soulmate,'” she revealed on The Graham Norton Show.

The lovebirds got married in an intimate ceremony at Sarah’s place in Brooklyn, New York, surrounded by her roommates.

They later welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, in May last year.
