Channel Nine will premiere its spectacular new reality TV competition series The Summit on Sunday 14th May.
Hosted by Suicide Squad star Jai Courtney, 33, the show sees 14 contestants carry an equal share of a million dollar cash prize in a race to the top of a mountain.
Filmed on location in New Zealand, the players have just 14 days to climb an 8,500-foot icy mountain together.
Each contestant carries a backpack filled with $70,000 in cash, and if anyone leaves the competition, their money will be deducted from the total prize pool.
‘Looks nice? That won’t be the case,” Jai warns the participants in the trailer of the extreme series.

Another scene teases a treacherous kayaking trip down an icy river.
The cast is a mix of female athletes, experienced male rock climbers, and even average everyday people who are completely new to climbing.
These include a mother of three, a 60-year-old nurse and a player who admits he can’t stand heights.

Collaboration is essential in this endurance test if the tractors want to maximize their share of the money.
The series promises a lot of drama, with the weaker players in danger of being left behind while the stronger ones chase the money.
Host Jai first rose to fame as a regular cast member on Packed to the Rafters. He moved to Los Angles in 2012 and later starred in the Tom Cruise blockbuster Jack Reacher.
He also starred in Terminator Genisys. His latest film is Black Site, in which he stars alongside Michelle Monaghan.
The Summit premieres Sunday, May 14 at 7 p.m. on Nine, followed by new episodes on Monday and Tuesday at 7:30 p.m
