Channel Nine will premiere its spectacular new reality TV competition series The Summit on Sunday 14th May.

Hosted by Suicide Squad star Jai Courtney, 33, the show sees 14 contestants carry an equal share of a million dollar cash prize in a race to the top of a mountain.

Filmed on location in New Zealand, the players have just 14 days to climb an 8,500-foot icy mountain together.

Each contestant carries a backpack filled with $70,000 in cash, and if anyone leaves the competition, their money will be deducted from the total prize pool.

‘Looks nice? That won’t be the case,” Jai warns the participants in the trailer of the extreme series.
